WILLMOUNT - 3.38 Kempton (NAP)
WILLMOUNT got no further than the third on his reappearance and handicap debut at Cheltenham but provided that fall hasn't left a mark should be winning races from his opening rating of 130. Willmount was expected to take high rank as a novice and was sent off at 9/4 for the Challow (pulled up) on his final appearance as a novice and it will be disappointing if he can't start to make up for lost time in a race his trainer has won twice in the last seven years.
CAMPAIGN TRAIL - 1.00 Wetherby
CAMPAIGN TRAIL made a fine, belated start to his hurdling career with a ready success at Doncaster and that form has already been franked by the third home No Questions Asked winning at Hereford. An 87-rated performer on the Flat, Campaign Trail was a heavy ground winner at up to two miles in that sphere and looks more than capable of defying a penalty at this level.
LOWRY'S BAR - 1.05 Chepstow
An eyecatcher in the Silver Trophy at the track's October meeting, it was no surprise to see LOWRY'S BAR attract market support ahead of his chasing debut at Bangor where he had to play second fiddle to the promising Jagwar who was a respectable third from a 9lb higher mark next time. Lowry's Bar needed every yard of two miles three furlongs to win at Exeter last time but escaped with a 4lb rise which is unlikely to be enough to prevent him from adding to last year's course hurdles win at around this distance.
JAAMIR - 8.00 Wolverhampton
JAAMIR was returning from a short absence when making his handicap debut at Chelmsford over a mile and caught the eye in attempting to come from last, finishing a three-length fourth as the line came too soon. Entitled to come on for that run and up slightly in trip there are plenty of positives with trainer James Owen - who boasts an excellent course record - continuing in good form, and jockey Adam Farragher a positive booking for the stable with three winners from 13 rides.
