Ben Linfoot's Wednesday Nap won at Thirsk earlier (13/2) - check out his remaining selection this evening.
Kevin Ryan’s JEHANGEER can appreciate the drop in grade in the Weatherbys Global Stallions App Handicap at Thirsk. The three-year-old has had a wind operation and been gelded since he was last seen running well in a Class 2 at Newmarket in May behind Woodhay Wonder and after just five career starts improvement is expected.
The Ben Haslam yard remain in good form and PURPLE MARTINI can bounce back to form in the Join Racing TV Now Handicap over seven furlongs at Musselburgh. The Mayson filly blew out at Redcar last time out but she’s been given time to recover from that and her record at this track is very good, having won here off 60 and finished second off 59. A mark of 58 offers her an obvious chance here.
John & Sean Quinn’s MR WAGYU confirmed he’s not far being off as good as ever at the age of nine when he was second at this track on Derby day and he can get another course win on the board in the Betfred Nifty 50 Handicap. There’s no doubt he’s still well handicapped off 92 and these calmer waters look the ideal opportunity for him to gain a 16th career win all told at a track he loves.

QUEEN'S COMPANY hasn't exactly been firing on all cylinders so far this year but she won 10-furlong handicaps off marks of 63 and 65 at Yarmouth last season and finds herself back on a rating of 63. She also showed a good bit more promise when third in a similar event here last time out so there's every chance she's coming back to the boil. A bigger field and stronger pace might have been ideal but the mare should be able to find some cover and she's just too well handicapped to ignore at present.
ANNIE AGNEW looks a very dangerous Irish raider in the two-mile handicap hurdle at Perth. She ran a huge race when runner-up on debut at 40/1 in a Ballinrobe maiden hurdle last August before proving that no fluke with a half-length victory at Down Royal. She displayed a terrific attitude that day and could be nicely treated on handicap debut off a mark of just 106 with Sean Bowen in for the ride on Thursday.
SMOULDERING shaped well when second on debut at Wolverhampton in late-April and duly stepped forward to open her account in a Kempton novice a month later. She beat a couple of geldings and a colt - who has won subsequently - that day, still looking a little green and a work in progress. She'll get a bit further than this trip in future by the looks of things and should continue to progress so an opening mark of 69 could be more than manageable.
LADY OF ARABIA takes a drop in class at Newbury and she ran a fair bit better than the official margin suggests when only beating one home at Haydock last month. Boxed in by the rail when the pace quickened, she stuck on reasonably well in the circumstances and the assessor easing her a pound could be generous as she can sneak in at the top of this moderate-looking 0-75 handicap. The four-year-old filly won off 75 at Kempton earlier in the year and while her overall turf record isn't quite so hot, she does have a victory and a second on the grass on her CV so she's certainly one to consider.
