Trainer Lucy Wadham is in really good form and she has a super record at Fakenham, a 25% strike-rate that increases to 28% in the month of December, and this horse gets to run off a mark he has won off over this course and distance before. Alice Steven takes a further 3lb off and on ideal ground he gets the Nap vote.
RIOT – 3.00 Lingfield
David O’Meara drops RIOT in trip to seven furlongs in the BetMGM: It’s Showtime Handicap at Lingfield and off a slightly reduced mark that can help the son of Kingman regain the winning thread. Too keen over a mile at this track last time, he still ran really well in third, so the combination of Lingfield and seven furlongs and dropping into a 0-82 can work the oracle. Ben Robinson looks a fine jockey booking on this rider restricted card (all races are for jockeys who rode 30 or fewer winners from November 19 2023 to November 18 2024 – Robinson rode 28).
