Ian Ogg's Saturday Nap won at 8/1 at Newbury and now he has the Sunday selections.
Sunday selections
PLANNED PARADISE - 4.13 Exeter (NAP)
PLANNED PARADISE has ground to make up on Art Deco and Neo King on their running in the Nick Ansell, Devon National given he is only 2 lbs and 1 lb well off with the pair for around four lengths. Ground conditions can help him bridge that gap though as it was heavy the last day and forecast to be good here. Planned Paradise was a fair third behind Transmission at Cheltenham in November on ground described as good and the versatile nine-year-old is much more at home on that sort of surface. The other pair have it to prove as does Yes Day (whose last two runs read well) over a new trip.
HALF SHOT - 3.55 Carlisle
Others in this valuable final have sexier profiles than the 11-year-old HALF SHOT, a veteran of 24 chase starts. The application of blinkers late last summer sparked new life into the old boy and saw him win first time up at Kelso before being overhauled close home by Jagwar at Wetherby. Things haven't gone the way of this front-runner the last twice as he's been taken on but he has shaped better than the bare form suggests and he could bounce back with trip and ground to suit.

MACH TEN - 5.00 Wincanton (NAP)
MACH TEN remains a maiden after a dozen career starts all told but he looks to have found his level since switching to hurdles for Anthony Charlton and the addition of a visor could be the final piece of the jigsaw. He came under the pump a long way from home at Taunton last month but ultimately stayed on in eyecatching fashion despite that being a 'hands-and-heels' race for conditionals/amateurs. In-form 5lb claimer Callum Pritchard takes over in the saddle at Wincanton and this looks a very winnable contest.
The draw could obviously have been kinder but it still might be worth chancing GALEL under top weight with David Egan back on board in the seven-furlong handicap at Lingfield. Egan's only ride on John Butler's filly to date was when beaten just a head over this trip at Wolverhampton in early-November and I can just about excuse the two subsequent runs over six furlongs which have seen her mark drop to a career-low 55. That allows her to creep in at the top of this lower-grade race and the forecast strong pace should help tee things up if Egan has to sit and suffer a little through the early stages.
WANNABE BRAVE - 6.00 Wolverhampton
WANNABE BRAVE might be entitled to sharpen up for the run but I don't think it'll prevent the horse going extremely close on his return from a winter break. A winner of four handicaps throughout last year, his revised mark of 67 still looked within range when second at Chelmsford last time out and getting back to Wolverhampton - where he is one from one to date - shouldn't pose any issues. Providing he's fit enough to do himself justice then he's taken to get the better of recent course (1m4f) scorer Green Team
