Trainer Emma Lavelle might just be hitting a bit of form (couple of winners over the weekend) and MOVE WITH THE BEAT makes plenty of appeal in the novices' handicap chase at Exeter. He's yet to jumps a traditional fence in public so that obviously has to be taken on trust but he did won a couple of point-to-points and the fact he's been pitched into a handicap first time out suggests he's been showing a fair level of proficiency at home. Based on the promise he showed over hurdles last season, an opening mark of 100 could give the five-year-old a major chance of striking gold at the first time of asking.
A couple of the key form horses are unproven on soft ground so it could be worth siding with MILLITERRIES. She's yet to encounter a testing surface but is bred to handle it well and looked a bit tapped for toe on good to firm at Newmarket last month. A Southwell maiden winner before that, she looks worth another chance over this 10-furlong trip as she's probably not finished improving yet in spite of the latest result.
HARVANNA hasn't had many goes on the all-weather and could be worth backing returned to Newcastle where she was a close fourth in January (6f), before just missing out over this course and distance the following month. She landed a fillies' handicap on the turf from a mark of 86 at Doncaster during the summer and although not quite at the same level in a trio of starts since, she's back on her winning mark and could be in for a decent all-weather campaign in sprint handicaps.
