SANDSCAPE - 4.20 Stratford (NAP)
SANDSCAPE was easy to back on his handicap debut at Sandown and struggled in the heavy ground with his jockey pulling him up before two out. He had, however, shown promise on his two preceding runs in novice hurdles and is worth another chance with the quicker conditions expected to suit this son of Cityscape. Sandscape was doing his best work at the finish on both occasions so this intermediate trip promises to suit and his yard has been among the winners of late.
Paddy Power welcome offer
EARLY MORNING DEW - 3.30 Plumpton
The booking of Jonjo O'Neill for EARLY MORNING DEW takes the eye on this belated to return to hurdling. Early Morning Dew was taken out of a hurdles race at Southwell in November but is now set to go jumping for the first time since November 2021. He disappointed that day but was competitive prior to that for Peter Niven, placing twice in four handicaps after failing to get competitive in three qualifying runs. Fit from the flat and on a fair mark, he's preferred to some likely looking newcomers to handicaps.
Sky Bet Cheltenham Festival Offer

SKIN FULL - 4.10 Taunton
This aptly named runner for a Festival week can benefit from the application of cheekpieces and go one better than at Doncaster when one place and about four lengths in front of Ca Plane Pour Moi. The latter ran his best race since joining Neil Mulholland but has yet to convince that he has the resolution to take advantage of a tumbling mark whereas SKIN FULL appreciated the step up to three miles despite failing to justify market support for a second successive race. He ran well here over fences in November so should have no trouble with the track or ground and this half-brother to a three mile winner can open his account for last year's successful stable.
LIKEASHADOW - 6.30 Newcastle
Back-to-back course wins in the autumn of 2023 are the only occasions that LIKEASHADOW has been in front at the line but he has finished in the top three on 11 of his 18 runs here. One of those placed efforts came under Tom Eaves on his second run back from a break in November so it may be worth putting a line through his latest run under a claiming jockey, his first start since a wind operation. Likeashadow has a string of good efforts to his name from marks in the low-60s so looks well treated off 52 and he ran well the first time he was fitted with blinkers and the switch to a visor - after a flirtation with cheekpieces - may also help to bring about a return to form.
