REIGNING PROFIT - 5.35 Pontefract (NAP)
REIGNING PROFIT hasn't been to Pontefract for almost two years which is a little surprising given he won back-to-back races there in 2023. Those wins came from marks of 68 and 73 and he'll line up off 70 having inched his way back down from 76 after winning at Hamilton (off 71) in August. He's returned from his winter break in good heart, not enjoying the best of luck at Newcastle before keeping on well into third at Wolverhampton. He drops in grade to a Class 5 here, a level at which he's recorded five of his six career wins (from just 15 attempts) and everything is in place for a big run.
FOREST BLAZE - 4.18 Hexham
Competitive fare for the grade with a number of in-form runners, including FOREST BLAZE who gained his second C&D success last time. Up in the weights to a career high mark, Forest Blaze has had fewer chances than many in this field and may, consequently, be open to more progress and this track and trip clearly suits ideally with his penultimate defeat forgiven as he didn't appear to appreciate the step up to three miles.
AUDACIOUS ANNIE - 6.10 Warwick
This looks likely to be a match between AUDACIOUS ANNIE and I've Madeupmymind, both of whom have taken a while to get the hang of hurdling having shown useful form in bumpers. I've Madeupmymind landed short odds on heavy ground at Bangor but is effective on a faster surface but Audacious Annie won a more competitive race at Wetherby - her second course win - and she's preferred.
