Ian Ogg heads to Wetherby for this afternoon's Sporting Life racing tip where he's taking on a former favourite.
1pt win Quids In, 2.20 Wetherby at 10/3
When I saw King's Tempest make a winning debut at Warwick, I thought the world was his oyster but injuries have restricted the eight-year-old to just six starts since that bumper in March 2014.
The recent signs have been more encouraging as half of those six starts have come this season and the latest effort marks him down as the one to beat here but he's a short enough price for a horse that has had so many problems.
So, I'll take him on with Quids In whose form is working out well enough. He finished second at Hereford to Fred Winter 10th Long Call with a subsequent winner in third before winning readily at Uttoxeter.
He was a fair third behind Dinsdale and Most Celebrated in a juvenile hurdle at Newbury last time and that pair went on to finish second and fifth in a decent handicap at the Berkshire track last Saturday.
This afternoon's race lacks strength in depth and a reproduction of his latest form could well be enough to see him gain a second career win.
