My Margie and Baraq finished first and second for the Notebook at Chelmsford on Saturday, and South Parade and The Amazon landed a 16/1 double on Monday.
The latter is the horse on which to focus - he won the 1m handicap at Windsor.
James Tate’s well handicapped three-year-old made headway in heavy ground from midfield three-out and led inside the final furlong. The step up in trip suited and this smooth traveller will be even better on better ground.

See A Stride made a pleasing start for Susan Corbett in the 2m4f mares’ maiden at Hexham on Saturday. He used to be trained by Gordon Elliott and will be stepped up a more suitable 3m next time.
Not seen since bursting a blood vessel in a point in April, this seven-year-old has settled well in his new surroundings and will find life easier having performed at Grade One tracks in Ireland.
General Admission made a very pleasing start when a close second in the 7f novice at Kempton on Wednesday. Oisin Murphy's mount wasn't well drawn in stall ten but showed good pace to find a handy position before making headway from two-out.
The quality colt had been keen but kept on in the final furlong behind favourite Yankee Dude, who had the benefit of two runs. General Admission cost 45,000 euros as a foal and 145,000 guineas at the breeze-up sale; he's related to winners up to 1m.
Jalaybee landed a gamble (6/1 into 5/2) in the 1m handicap at Southwell on Tuesday. Declan Carroll's three-year-old wasn't well drawn in stall nine but showed good pace to take a handy position before the first turn.
Holly Doyle's mount chased the odds-on favourite Kristal Klear in the home straight and showed a willing attitude to prevail. He won't go up much for this narrow victory and Carroll has quickly found his level.
Jalaybee didn't progress in Ireland but was placed at Catterick and Beverley last month and the dam won on the all-weather. The winner is unexposed over 1m.
THREE BETS FROM THE NOTEBOOK…
Serengeti is strongly fancied in the 7f maiden at Leopardstown on Saturday.
Aidan O’Brien’s classy colt was a close sixth over the trip at the Curragh two weeks ago on debut. Stablemate, Expanded won the race and finished a neck behind Shadow Of Light in the Dewhurst. Serengeti cost 800,000 guineas as a yearling and the dam is a half-sister to two-year-old 5f Group Two winner, Requinto; she is out of 6f two-year-old Group One winner, Damson.
Cadarn has a touch of class and can make use of his pace in the 1m4f novice at Southwell on Monday. The well-bred son of Magna Grecia made a pleasing start when fourth in a bumper at Huntingdon last week. Well fancied in a field of three-year-old newcomers, George Boughey's colt travelled well in midfield but hit the rail as the field quickened on the home turn.
He made headway over two-out and kept on inside the final furlong. Bought for 100,000 guineas as a foal, Cadarn is a half-brother to five Flat winners, including three rated over 100. The dam won a two-year-old sprint.
Mr Hope Street can exploit a very favourable mark of 103 in the 2m5f handicap hurdle at Kempton on Sunday. He hasn’t run since May when justifying strong support over a similar trip at Uttoxeter. This good jumper is expected to progress markedly throughout this season.
