Late call over Quiet Reflection run at Haydock

Karl Burke will make a late call over whether Quiet Reflection runs in the Armstrong Aggregates Temple Stakes at Haydock on Saturday after she appeared among 12 final declarations.

The trainer of the dual Group One winner has expressed some concerns about the current warm spell of weather earlier in the week as his filly needs a bit of cut in the ground.

But with showers forecast, he has decided to give his stable star the option of running.

He said: "Heavy showers are forecast for Saturday and I'm told the ground was in great shape on Thursday morning, but it is a red-hot day so it's going to dry up a bit more you would have thought.

"I think it will be a late call and we'll see how the ground is on Saturday."

Robert Cowell will be doubled-handed with Encore D'Or and Goldream, while Aidan O'Brien has declared Washington DC, meaning Acapulco misses out.

Popular veteran Take Cover represents David Griffiths, with the Clive Cox-trained Priceless and John Gosden's Waady other notable entries.

Alpha Delphini, Cotai Glory, Final Venture, Kachy and Thesme complete the line-up.
