STATE OF MADNESS shaped well when runner-up to the reopposing Alafdhal here last month as he came from off the pace in a race not run at a flat-out gallop for a five-furlong sprint.
State of Madness was beaten three-quarters of a length but he pulled two and a quarter lengths clear of the remainder, impressing with how he was able to pull clear of the third once hitting full stride.
He is well treated off the same mark here and, with the step back up to six furlongs unlikely to prove a problem, looks capable of turning the form around and registering a first success..
