Horse Racing Tips: Nap of the Day, best bets around the tracks and daily Request-A-Bet

Ian Ogg was among the winners on Saturday and returns with Sunday's selections.

HOLESHOT - 4.40 Ffos Las (NAP)

HOLESHOT is improving at a good rate, winning easily at both Taunton and Warwick. He is 8 lbs higher than for the last of those victories but had enough in hand to think that he may still be a step ahead of the handicapper. That race was over two miles but he won over three furlongs further in Somerset and shouldn't have any trouble stepping back up in trip. This is a much deeper race than that four runner affair but he should make a bold bid to complete his hat-trick.

ARENAS DEL TIEMPO - 4.27 Plumpton

Sean Bowen has ridden six winners from 12 rides for Jim & Suzi Best and this significant jockey booking won't be missed by the layers. ARENAS DEL TIEMPO ran a fair race on her handicap debut, finishing second to an easy winner but clear of the remainder. She ran well in a maiden over this C&D and, as a quick ground winner on the flat, should relish the drying conditions.

EAZY ON THE EYE - 6.30 Southwell

A valuable card has attracted some competitive fields and that's certainly the case here so EAZY ON THE EYE will need to post a career best on her return. There are reasons to be hopeful, not least the trainer form with Heather Main having saddled three winners from four runners this past two weeks and six from 17 in the calendar year, Eazy On The Eye's first win came at 66/1 (touched 150/1) but she proved that was no fluke when beating one who has won three rimes since, most recently off 71 on Monday. That all suggests Eazy On The Eye is feasibly handicapped and the booking of Hollie Doyle is a positive one for the stable.

JOJO RABBIT - 3.05 Wolverhampton (NAP)

Ruth Carr's stable is worth following when they hit form and green shoots are there after a double at Southwell last week. JOJO RABBIT is a course specialist with four wins from nine visits to Wolverhampton, the last of which came just over a year ago from a 2 lb higher mark. He's feasibly treated, therefore, and that victory came off the back of a 157 day break and was not the first time that he has gone well fresh so there is plenty to recommend him.

Timeform Horses To Follow

FLASH DU PISTOLET - 2.45 Kelso

Stuart Coltherd was quietly confident that there was a good deal more to come from FLASH DU PISTOLET following his course win over the Go North Finals weekend and he can cope with a 9 lb rise. That win was at around two miles but he stays this trip well, too, and enjoys the drying ground. It took Flash Du Pistolet a while to open his account but he's firmly on the upgrade now and should have more to offer as he goes out in trip.

CAPLA LAZARUS - 4.27 Redcar

Those who supported CAPLA LAZARUS into joint-favouritism at Wolverhampton may not be so forgiving but there should be more to come from the Easterbys' runner now handicapping. He didn't really build on an encouraging debut over 10 furlongs but he didn't go backwards in those two runs over a mile and is expected to prove far more effective back up in trip on a sound surface from a workable mark.

CARBINE HARVESTER - 7.00 Kempton

CARBINE HARVESTER is edging up the weights but he is progressing and can cope with his latest rise in another competitive contest. Well drawn for one who races prominently, he may well be better suited to this track than Lingfield as he's shaped like a strong stayer over six furlongs and, on paper at least, there promises to be a decent pace for him to aim at.
