Three bets today at Dundalk, kicking off with VALDERRAMA in the 2.20. I think he could be very interesting on the surface.

His last run on handicap debut came on really heavy ground and it was a fine effort given he over-raced and hung in there late on to be fifth. Today's favourite Chummie was behind him on that occasion.

This horse is by Kodiac and I think he'll take to the surface. It's an open race and not a brilliant race so he could improve a lot as he's still so unexposed.

In the 2.55 I'll have a small each-way interesting on HIELLA. She won a Curragh maiden last year - albeit a weak one - where she did it in good style, and she has been fairly disappointing since but has dropped to a mark of 57 now.

She's only had the two starts in 2020, running over five furlongs at Navan when quite well found in the market, then she came back earlier this month over this track when catching the eye at big odds.

She got a little bit tired late but there was enough there to suggest she's worth chancing. I suspect she may have had training problems but this surface might just help her out and it's interesting enough that connections have decided to go again with her here.

The last one I'm backing is SILVER ST CLOUD who gets into the 5.00 as a reserve.

Her first run was good in a Curragh maiden and while she didn't come on for that on her next two starts, she ran well on her first run since July when fourth here earlier in the month.

The winner made all and bolted up but Silver St Cloud was held up before making some nice headway to finish in the bunch for the places.

As a daughter of No Nay Never she makes a lot of appeal on the surface and I don't mind the step back up to 10 furlongs based on that last run. She could take a lot of beating if building on the run as much as I'd expect. So she looks a great each-way bet at the prices.
