It looks like there’s going to be testing ground at Gowran Park this afternoon with plenty of rain expected from around lunchtime.
I have one bet on the card and it’s WHAT A FEELING in the Download The BoyleSports App Handicap at 2.35.
She is 14/1 with four places available and was well backed on her handicap debut at Limerick two starts ago and went very close to winning under a positive ride, eventually finishing third beaten only a neck and a head.
She showed good speed from the gate there and was unlucky to be run out of it close home.
She then went to Lisowel on good ground and had a horrible draw to contend with in 13. Trapped wide, she then got a bad bump that ended her change three furlongs out and you put a line through that run.
She’s a real mudlark and the ground here will be ideal, she has a good draw in five and the Pat Murphy stable are very shrewd with their horses at this level.
I’m happy to forgive her the last run and she makes plenty of each-way appeal.
