Fran Berry has an each-way fancy for the Melbourne Cup with Joseph O'Brien fancied to land his second success in the race.
The Melbourne Cup is a great race and it looks really competitive again with Ireland having a great chance of bagging the big prize Down Under.
I was really taken by Anthony Van Dyck's effort in defeat on his Australian debut and it's fascinating that he's come full circle in a way, being out of an Australian mare.
I'd probably just about favour him over Aidan O'Brien stablemate Tiger Moth, who goes there a very inexperienced horse and also has stall 23 to content with.
He could simply be too well handicapped and manage to overcome those questions but as the 6/1 clear market leader now I'm inclined to look elsewhere for a spot of value.
Joseph O'Brien arguably should have won the race last year with MASTER OF REALITY and it looks like he's been trained to the minute for another crack at it.
He's got a good draw (11) in the middle, next to stablemate Twilight Payment who isn't without a chance either, and I just think if he's ridden a shade more patiently this time around then he's going to go very close with just 1lb more to carry.
