Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore completed a Leger double with Flag Of Honour taking the Comer Group International-sponsored Irish version at the Curragh.
With Kew Gardens landing the English equivalent at Doncaster 24 hours earlier, all eyes were on Flag Of Honour who was bidding to continue his steep upward curve.
The 2-1 favourite didn't disappoint, proving two and three-quarter lengths too good for Irish Derby winner Latrobe, trained by O'Brien's son, Joseph.
O'Brien said: "He's after having a busy time so we'll have to see whether he runs again this year.
"He has an entry in the Melbourne Cup, but I'll have to talk to the lads and see what they'd like to do."
