Top jockey Daryl Jacob talks about the pressures of being a jockey, the injuries and the sacrifices every rider has to make.
Leading jockey Daryl Jacob has spoken with Sky Bet ahead of the Cheltenham Festival and it's fair to say the job of a jockey isn't quite as glamorous as it sounds.
Everyone wants a Cheltenham winner but sometimes it seems worlds away as the strains and stresses of a regular season take their toll.
Injuries
Falls hurt. Just look at Daryl's list of injuries sustained in the saddle - but sometimes it's missing out a winner that causes more pain.

Sacrifices
Don't for a second think that the working day begins with the first race - and ends with the finale. What about the travel, the pain of a loser, how does he cope?
💪 "Like in every job, you've got to make sacrifices haven't you?"
