This summer Dr Richard Newland and Olly Murphy have improved horses from other yards.
Olly Murphy is represented by Saucysioux, formally trained by Michael Roberts he has one win to his name and has regressed since his sole victory. Olly Murphy is flying and I expect this horse to be spot on like most of his horses this summer have been after a break.
My one worry is the horse's jumping, it definitely needs improving upon. Market Rasen is not a forgiving place for modest jumpers, on decent ground over 2m2f if his jumping is below par he could lose momentum at vital moments of the race. It will be fascinating to see how he jumps today.
I will side with BEAU BAY, he came up against one last time in Shrubland with another well handicapped horse, Knight Commander in third. He runs off the same mark and forced a reasonable pace that day. I think he emerges with a lot of credit from that effort and sets a tough standard for his opposition to match. This time I will go for the more exposed over the unexposed and at 15/8 BEAU BAY looks the percentage play.
