There are three nice prospects in this contest and two of them are owned by JP McManus.
Treasure Chest was very weak in the market on his hurdling debut but he won in good style beating a subsequent winner. It's interesting connections have removed the blinkers but that the tongue tie remains on.
The horse who I thought looked to have real star potential is the favourite LE RICHEBOURG. He is a half-brother to the top-class Grand Grus and very useful Gevrey Chamberlain and there are already signs he could follow in their footsteps.
I loved the way he travelled, the alacrity in his jumping and the way he powered clear with ease to make a couple of decent horses behind him look ordinary.
This is a tougher task today but I think he has the makings of a 140-150 horse and if that's the case 5/6 looks a fair price.
Nessun Dorma is second favourite and was also a winner on his hurdling debut. Again he's one who should continue to improve and looks a nice prospect.

I'm finding it hard to find many horses I want to be with against THOMAS HOBSON today.
His win on Tuesday was so impressive and visually it looked like it wouldn't have taken much out of him.
He made a mockery of his handicap mark that day and if he repeats that performance he will be very hard to beat in the Queen Alexandra Stakes Condition Stakes.
