I'm struggling to enthuse about most of these.
Bambi De Noyer sets the standard and has been very consistent this year. He should run his race again but has been done no favours from the handicapper as he has been raised 5lb for his last run. The winner and the third from that race have both disappointed since.
Panis Angelicus is one of the more interesting runners in the race, he lines up today after a 233-day lay-off and Tim Vaughan can ready them first time up. It'll be interesting to see how he goes in the market.
Gask Risk may improve for the step up in trip today after a fair run last time out, but doesn't stand out to me as a bet around the 5/1 mark.
In the circumstances I think it's best to keep things simple and back favourite AS YOU LIKE.
An impressive looker, he will improve with time and showed the benefit of his winter break when winning a reasonably competitive race on his handicap debut. He showed a really willing attitude and won a bit more comfortably than the margin suggests.
He's a full brother to some useful types and I can see him stepping up once again despite an 8lb rise in the weights and be the victor against a modest bunch.
Princess Roania may appreciate the step back down in trip with the first-time tongue tie. The same applies to Yes Daddy in that connections will be hoping the application of a tongue tie makes a difference to him as he reverts back to hurdling.
Plenty of questions, then, but the answer looks to be As You Like, who should take all the beating having been presented with a good opportunity.
