Alfred Richardson sets a benchmark in this three year old handicap and is highly respected having won comfortably last time out.
Scots Piper disappointed last time after an impressive win on debut, but the ground will be similar to his last start and it's hard to recommend him today.
A horse who Scots Piper ran against last time is DANCE TEACHER who finished third at Newmarket. There was plenty to like about this run and I think she will step up on that effort this evening.
Her breeding suggests she should relish the soft ground and record points that way as well, as all of her decent runs have come when there has been some cut in the ground.
Physically she looks like a horse who would have improved a great deal from two to three and having run keenly last time she ran on stoutly to the line. With a run under her belt she should prove very hard to beat.
The 11/4 available in places is very fair.
A danger could be Fortuities who shaped well in maidens on his first two starts but ran below par last time at Newcastle. Strength in the market could prove significant for this half-brother of the useful Spectre.
