Hattons Hill is on a five timer and there is every chance he will pull it off. A horse who just does enough in his races, he could still be capable of better.
Don Franco was very impressive in victory last time, today is tougher and he has an eleven-pound rise in the weights to overcome.
A horse I put up a couple of starts ago was DETOUR AHEAD, reason being that she was so well handicapped on past form and catching the eye when travelling well before falling at Huntingdon.
She ran disappointingly at Fontwell; it was a slowly-run race and became a sprint and she could never go with them when the pace quickened. I was disappointed but also feel in hindsight the trip may have just been too short.
Last time out she ran a lot better stepping back up in trip in a race that has worked out well. She was out of the handicap that day and is running off a five-pound lower mark today. This should be a true-run race and if getting into a rhythm early she could run a big race today at 20/1.

Cousin Oscar and Beyondtemptation should ensure this race is run at a decent pace. This should suit DESERT ISLAND DUSK, he came up against a well-handicapped horse last time and could appreciate the drop down to 2m today. He is the one to beat for me and 3/1 is a fair price.

INDIAN RUPEE was put up by me on his last start and he ran okay for a long way before weakening out of it. There is a chance he could have needed it and has dropped six pounds for that run and worth a speculative play at 14/1.

I was really impressed with ROUGE DEVILS' jumping on his chase bow when he was unlucky to slip on the bend early in the race last time at Ludlow. He's the most unexposed of these and at 9/4 I think he will take the beating from the front.
