Conditions are Cartmel are likely to be testing today and even in the 2m1f handicap hurdle, runners will have their stamina tested towards the end of the race.

My Renaissance has been in decent form on the Fibresand but has never proven himself in testing conditions over 2m-plus. He may travel strongly but be flagging come the business end of the race.

Beau Bay has the hood applied for the first time and if settling early he could enjoy Cartmel and has got form on soft ground.

A horse who is more likely to appreciate a stamina test is Prince Khurram. He looked to have a promising chase career at the back-end of last year even though he never won over fences.

The whole of 2017 he has been campaigned over hurdles and has run a couple of encouraging races of late, therefore has to be respected.

The horse I like is BELL WEIR

He's one who has been campaigned over many different trips over the years and should have no problem on the stamina front today.

Two starts ago at Sedgefield he got badly outpaced when the pace quickened up as they turned for home. He got going late and stayed on strongly finishing fourth.

Next time out he came up against a handicap good thing in Too Many Diamonds, finishing a clear second. This trip with a bit of cut could be ideal for the nine-year-old and he may show the most desire late on today to land the prize.

TOARMANDWITHLOVE remains a maiden after 30 starts but if managing to keep tabs with the field early she could be staying on late and is next best at 14/1.
