Warren Greatrex has been in rude form of late with four winners and three seconds in the last eight days from 14 runners.
KING'S TEMPEST looked a real promising type early on in his career. In March 2015, he split two horses at Chepstow who went on to clock figures in the late 120's and mid 130's.
It was a similar story at Exeter on his run before, splitting Jollyallan who ended up being rated as high as 151 and Hello George who is now rated 133.
After 2015, he had a year-and-a-half off and regressed since his initial promise. However, he hasn't run badly earlier this year with a second at Chepstow followed by a couple of decent runs finishing third both times.
It wouldn't surprise me if connections had planned for him to go chasing this year and use the first run of the season as a pipe opener over hurdles.
He looks like a chaser and tops the weights today in a modest looking 0-105 and feel today is the right time to chance him. Sheepskin pieces are applied for the first time and if he gets into a nice rhythm out in front I can see him notching up a his first victory since 2014.

PLANTAGENET has been improving since joining the yard of Seamus Mullins and put in a bold bid to make it a five timer on his debut over chases last time out but found one too good in subsequent winner Cucklington.
His jumping early doors was quite novicey getting in too close and edging to the right. On this basis, there is more to come and Hereford should suit with quicker ground in the offing in a race which lacks substance.
Recommended bets:
1pt win King's Tempest in 12.35 Hereford at 3/1
1pt win Plantagenet in 2.10 Hereford at 9/4
