Knight Commander has served connections well since joining Olly Murphy. He’s 15lb higher in comparison to his first win of the year and has shown he can be competitive off this mark.
A horse who has applied his trade in better races in his most recent starts is FOCACCIA. This well related six-year-old hasn’t managed to get his head in front this year but all his races in defeat read pretty well.
For me this is a weaker race than he’s been contesting of late and the drop down in trip to 2m should suit. If the ground doesn’t prove too much of a hindrance today I think he will take the beating and 11/4 is a fair price.

BLACK KETTLE ran a really solid race last time out on debut for Rebecca Menzies. He jumped accurately and stayed on all the way to the line but just couldn’t get past My Renaissance who had the run of the race up front. He has been raised 7lb for that run but he had the look of a future winner to me and looks a solid play at 7/2.

CAMAKASI looks on a very attractive mark over the jumps judged on his recent flat exertions. Most of these are exposed and don’t look to have much in hand of the handicapped. Magical Thomas won with a bit more in hand than it appeared on his last start but has a penalty to contend with and Kereman may be capable of better. This, however, looks a good opportunity for Camakasi to notch his first win over hurdles.
