Mercian King did everything right on his last start and gained a deserved success but I'm struggling to work out what he achieved that day.

Exitas has dropped to a lenient mark and was close to gaining another win last time out, but found one too good. He had a reasonably hard race that day and he's turned out quickly here.

Accessallareas had everything his own way last time out in front. He won nicely enough but an 8lb penalty looks a bit harsh in my opinion.

SPOILT ROTTEN is the horse that interests me. He ran a solid race in what was a slowly-run contest last time out. It was a complete change of tactics that day as he has been making the running in most of his starts.

The winner of that race went on to win impressively next time and Spoilt Rotten remains on the same mark, which entitles him to go very close today. If the rain arrives his chances shouldn't be affected either and at 9/2 he seems fair value.

CAID DU LIN definitely has races in him and has arguably been unlucky not to get his head in front under British rules. Richard Johnson is an interesting booking and it would be no surprise if he was ready to strike today after a lay-off.
