6.00 Newton Abbot preview
Classic Jewel won with a bit in hand after a break at Uttoxeter, my problem with that run is the opposition was woeful and it's hard to know how much in hand he had. He only did what he had to so he still may have more to come and is respected.
Brave Helios has been consistent of late and in this type of contest he's likely to run his race again and that could well be good enough.
I'm going to side with the trusted formula of following Dan Skelton producing the goods with horses acquired from other yards.
KAPRICONE is a year 10-year-old now and isn't exactly an improving animal, but he is certainly a well-handicapped horse. He showed three starts back he can compete off a slightly higher mark so it shows the horse still is capable in this grade.
I'm hoping a couple months at Dan Skelton's yard bring out some improvement and this can see KAPRICONE winning over fences for the first time.
