BERRY DE CARJAC impressed in the summer with a nice win at Stratford that was followed up with a second to subsequent winner Salto Cisco.
I thought he was a horse to follow after that run but he hasn't really gone on.
His next start at Worcester was a solid effort. Eventual winner Halling's Comet and himself went a real clip that day but it was Berry De Carjac who put some extra pace halfway into the race and to his credit he plugged on well and was only beaten six-and-a-quarter lengths.
The following two efforts were disappointing but having had a few hard races a long summer may have got to him.
Last time out over course and distance he fell at the first.
I'm hoping his confidence isn't knocked from that fall and if he can get into a rhythm from the front he's feasibly handicapped to go well today. At 20/1 he's worth a poke.
Serveontime looks to have real solid claims and is tempting at 4/1 each way. Favourite Ambre Des Marais runs off a career high mark and has a bit of a break to overcome, at 13/8 he looks worth taking on despite him coming off back to back wins.
