CALL ME LORD has won three of his four career starts and it looks highly likely he will make it four from five today.
His debut in the UK came at Sandown in a decent-sized field and he showed a lot of class in victory, travelling powerfully and defying a mistake at the last.
He didn't jump all that well in general and got bumped around a bit throughout the contest but the way he picked up and hit the line running suggested he had a lot more in the tank.
The form looks strong with runner-up Dolos finishing second next time out. The third, Fidux, was mounting a challenge on his seasonal debut when unseating his rider and the fourth I See You Well won his next start.
Call Me Lord looks like a horse who will keep on progressing this season and he should kick it off by giving away weight in this small-field handicap hurdle.
High Secret is in good hands but has a little to prove off this mark, while Caid Du Lin was caught out by a rise in both weight and grade last time and may again find this a little too hot.
So Celebre is the other to consider for in-form Ian Williams. He'll need to bounce back having finished last of seven on the Flat recently, but still looks to be improving over hurdles and may do so.
Still, Call Me Lord is a strong fancy to continue his climb up the ladder.
