Whatever ABOVE BOARD achieved over hurdles was going to be a bonus as everything about him suggests he will make up into a better chaser.
He impressed in a couple of his hurdle starts that read pretty well and his chasing debut was smooth against a modest bunch (second has won since).
Visually he is a striking individual and in the manner he has won his races 123 looks quite a lenient mark. If he puts in a clear round of jumping today it will take a very well handicapped horse to beat him.
