In-form owner and pro punter Murt Khan has two selections today, with Gordon Elliott expected to be among the winners.

Doubledisdoubledat has gone off favourite in three of his last four starts and has been expensive to follow.

I do like his chances today and if he gets into a nice rhythm up front he will be hard to pass.

Don Franco has run over a variety of trips and is respected mainly due to the fact champion jockey Richard Johnson's services have been employed.

Crinkle Crags ran an okay race yesterday but his jumping will need to improve if he is to figure over half a mile further.

A horse who also has a question mark about today's trip is ARANTES. He caught my eye a couple of times early last season when travelling well in hurdle races over two miles. I initially thought he needed the minimum trip but recently I am inclined to think differently.

Last time out there were positives to take out of the run in what was his fourth chase start. Having jumped well, the most interesting part was the back end of the race where he stuck his head down and ran on reasonably well to finish fourth over two and a half miles.

Today he runs's on a sharper track than last time and runs over half a mile further. Racing off a 28lb lower mark in comparison to his promising runs at the back end of 2016 he is handicapped to go very close.

Running off 72 with the added bonus of Lorcan Murtagh's 7lb claim he has to be chanced at 8/1 despite the trip being a question mark.

VANISHING POINT has really caught the eye on his last two starts over hurdles. On both occasions he has finished with a real rattle when finding his stride. His jumping has lacked fluency and I'm hoping today's step up in trip gives him time to be more measured at his hurdles. He should prove hard to beat.
