Dwain Chambers: Former Great Britain sprinter set for comeback in 60m at the British Championships

Former world indoor champion Dwain Chambers is set to make a surprise comeback to athletics this weekend as he's entered for the 60m at the British Championships.

The 40-year-old is on the start list for the 60m in Birmingham on Saturday after deciding to come out of retirement and he could gatecrash Great Britain's squad for the European Indoor Championships.

The qualifying time for next month's championships in Glasgow is 6.60 seconds with the top two automatically booking their spot if they also clock the time.

British number one Reece Prescod is not running, with Chambers' main competition double European champion Richard Kilty and Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake.

Former world indoor 60m champion Chambers was banned in 2004 for doping and lost his European 100m gold from 2002 and 2003 World Championships relay silver medal.
