Giants sign pass rusher to long-term contract

The New York Giants have signed their star pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul to a four-year contract.

He has put pen to paper on a contract potentially worth $62m with a massive $40m guaranteed and includes a signing bonus of $20m.

"This is where I wanted to be," Pierre-Paul told the team's official website.

"I couldn't imagine me being anywhere else. I'm back for four years and I'm ready to get after it."

Pierre-Paul made headlines in July 2015 when he suffered an horrific hand injury following an accident with a firework but he battled back with the Giants last season to register seven sacks and three forced fumbles.
