Greyhound racing tips & selections for Sunday September 3

Another busy week of sporting action is rounded off by Henlow open action this evening and we have three selections with which to try to end the weekend on a high.

Mark Wallis has some strong contenders for the autumn period and the champion trainer could have a nice type on his hands in the shape of Sidarian Dino (T1).

The Vans Escalade dog returned to winning ways at Towcester in A4 company last month, and that confidence-boosting success should have set him up well for this assignment.

A drop to 460m should pose no concerns for him, and it would be a major surprise if he wasn’t very competitive now tackling maiden company once more at 8.00.

Blackstone Rock (T3) continued his upwards curve when beating some progressive types here seven days ago and the fast-starter could prove tough to catch if bouncing out of the traps once more at 9.15.

He beat the likes of Master Kelly (who reopposes in the striped jacket), Makos Boy and Jet Stream Babs with relative ease and could have the luxury of a clear start once more, with traffic problems a possibility once more on his outside.

Lowther Stakes semi-finalist Ribble Aon rates as a threat on the inside, and could be a danger now upped in trip.

Must Be Ben (T4) continues to improve for his connections and the 8.46 maiden provides their charge with an excellent chance for success over a new distance that looks poised to suit.

Not always the best of starters, the three-year-old remains relatively unexposed and this extra 90m can see him use his staying power to full effect in the closing stages when others start to tire.
