UEFA Nations League: Semi-finals and finals dates, kick-off times, how to watch England, squads, latest odds and more

With the Nations League finals getting underway this week, we have everything you need to know for the tournament in Portugal.

England are one of four teams involved looking to be the competition's first ever winners.

Gareth Southgate's side are battling Portugal, Switzerland and the Netherlands for the title and are potentially 180 minutes away from getting their hands on major silverware for the first time since 1966.

We will be following England's progress with live minute-by-minute updates alongside reaction and goal replays in our matchday blogs.

What is the schedule?

Two semi-finals take place and the winners of those games will meet in the final on Sunday.

If scores are level at the end of 90 minutes, there will be 30 minutes of extra-time where teams are permitted to make a fourth substitution. If required, there will also be a penalty shootout.

Is there VAR?

Yes. UEFA have confirmed that VAR will be used throughout the tournament, that's alongside goal line technology.

It is the first time VAR has been used in a national team competition run by European football's governing body UEFA.

We have seen VAR already in this season's Champions League, as well as the World Cup in Russia last summer.

Who are the favourites?

Sky Bet make England the favourites to win the tournament, with Portugal in second.

  • England - 13/8
  • Portugal - 7/4
  • Netherlands - 3/1
  • Switzerland - 13/2

The prize

All four teams are competing to be the first winners of the UEFA Nations League.

The successful team will get their hands on the Nations League trophy, which stands at just below 28 inches tall.

Alongside that, each team is set for a nice payday with the prize money on offer. UEFA have confirmed that prize money will be allocated as follows:

  • €10.5m - Winners
  • €9.0m - Runners-up
  • €8.0m - Third place
  • €7.0m - Fourth place

UEFA explain: "The figures include the €4.5m all four finalists have already secured, made up of a €2.25m solidarity fee for all League A teams and €2.25m as a bonus for winning a League A group.

"A total of €76.25m in solidarity and bonus fees was earmarked for the 55 competing national associations."
