It's another bumper weekend in the Sky Bet EFL and Paul Higham has two recommended bets, including a both teams to score double.
Derby v Luton
Phillip Cocu is just showing a few signs of getting to grips with life in the Sky Bet Championship. He’s found Derby’s scoring touch but the problems are at the other end where they just can’t stop conceding goals.
Saturday’s visitors Luton also have chronic defensive problems and with both teams clocking in at around 80 percent for both teams scoring in their games this looks a strong contender for goals at both ends.
There’s no clean sheet for Luton yet this season, but away from home they’ve also only failed to score once, so they’ll fancy a similar upset win to the one they produced at Blackburn last week.
A best price of 11/10 is available on a home win, but even if you trust the Rams to get the three points, you can’t trust their dodgy defence to keep the Hatters out so wrap that up with both teams to score for a healthier return.
Best bet: Derby to beat Luton & both teams to score at 11/4
Huddersfield v Hull
Woeful Huddersfield finally won a game this season! Yes, you read that correctly, the terrible Terriers finally got their first win of the campaign, although the huge caveat to that is that it came against an even worse Stoke side.
So do we trust Danny Cowley’s men to do it again? They’re back at home for a triumphant return but a Hull side unbeaten in the last five will be a tough nut to crack.
The Tigers have only lost once away from home this season, on the opening day, and at 19/10 they’re a decent price if you fancy finding a winner, but this is another game which seems perfectly set up for your both teams to score coupon.
Hull have found the net in every away game this season and although Huddersfield have only scored nine times this season, strangely they’ve only failed to score twice so while they’re not exactly prolific they usually find the net.
And with renewed hope they should again find the target even though a win may just be a step too far.
Best bet: Both teams to score at 4/5
Lincoln v Sunderland
Lincoln have certainly not reacted well to the Cowley brothers leaving, although all told they’ve not won a game since the end of August.
September was a nightmare with just one draw at Rochdale to their name from seven games, which also included two 3-1 defeats, a 6-0 hammering at home by Oxford and even managing to lose to Manchester United (Under-21s).
Sunderland are unbeaten in five, with wins over Sheffield United and MK Dons under their belts during that spell, so will fancy their chances on the road.
Sometimes just spotting a decent bet for a win is good enough, and the 7/5 on offer for the Black Cats to inflict more misery on Lincoln looks a gift too good to pass up.
Best bets: Sunderland to beat Lincoln at 7/5
