Our Nick Hext is getting Nottingham Forest on side for Sunday's Sky Bet EFL TV game.
Sunday's TV game
The East Midlands derby between Derby and Nottingham Forest takes centre stage on Sunday afternoon. Derby have been priced up as the odds-on favourites to get the victory but I'm keen to take a chance on Forest. Mark Warburton's side can be backed at over 4/1 to secure the three points but I'm going to go a little safer in the double chance market. There's odds-against to be taken for this match to end in a draw or a Forest win and that makes loads of appeal. Forest beat high-flying Sheffield United in their last match before the international break and I just can't be having a Derby side on a five-match winless run at odds-on to bag the bragging rights. The last three of those matches for the Rams have ended in draws so it makes sense to take a look at the double chance prices.
League One selection
MK Dons to beat Portsmouth, Sky Bet League One (Saturday, 1500 BST)
MK Dons are far too big at 4/1 to return with three points from Saturday's trip to Portsmouth. Robbie Neilson's side suffered a disappointing defeat at home to Bradford last weekend, but their away form is much better with victory secured in both of their previous two outings. MK Dons have won four of their last seven games on the road this season, all without conceding a goal, and I think they are facing Portsmouth at just the right time. Pompey are without talisman striker Brett Pitman because of a knee injury and that is a huge loss. These two sides are only separated by goal difference in the Sky Bet League One standings and the odds are right to get with the outsiders in this Fratton Park clash.
League Two selection
Exeter to beat Wycombe, Sky Bet League Two (Saturday, 1500 BST)
Sky Bet League Two leaders Exeter make appeal at 5/2 to continue their fantastic start to the season with victory at Wycombe on Saturday afternoon. The Grecians have recovered in style from losing last season's play-off final and they've won four of their last five league games on their travels. Wycombe are also going really well to sit in fourth but I don't think they should be such big favourites in this match against quality opposition. Exeter are the right price to end the Chairboys' impressive run of form.
Saturday's TV game
A cracking West Midlands derby between Wolves and Aston Villa can be expected to provide plenty of entertainment on Saturday evening. Resurgent Villa have joined Wolves in the mix at the top of the standings and this is a great test of the promotion credentials of both clubs. It's tough to pick a winner but not tough to go for goals. Wolves enter this game on the back of a 4-0 win at Burton and Villa have picked up a maximum 12 points from the last 12 available. Both teams to score can be found in places at odds-against and makes plenty of appeal.
Friday's TV game
Steve Cotterill's first game in charge of Birmingham provides Friday night's entertainment for Sky Sports viewers. Blues host top-of-the-table Cardiff at St Andrew's and I'm sure that Cotterill's first priority will be to keep it tight in defence. Birmingham lost 6-1 at Hull in their last outing before the international break and that should leave the club's players with a point to prove. That heavy defeat came off the back of a 1-0 victory at home to Sheffield Wednesday, secured by Isaac Vassell's 76th minute winner, so there is some hope for Blues fans and I don't expect the convincing Cardiff success that the odds suggest. Birmingham's two games prior to that 6-1 thrashing both failed to contain a goal in the first half and I'm backing 0-0 for the score at the break in this contest at close to 2/1.
