Sky Bet EFL: Free betting tips and odds

Nick Hext is backing Ipswich to win at home to Sunderland in the Sky Bet EFL on Tuesday evening.

Sky Bet Championship selection

Ipswich to beat Sunderland, Sky Bet Championship (Tuesday, 1945 BST)

Ipswich look a cracking bet to win at home to Sunderland on Tuesday night. The Tractor Boys fell to a 3-2 defeat at high-flying Leeds at the weekend but it was another strong performance and only an error from goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski cost the opportunity of a point. I'm keen on 17/10 for Ipswich to pick up three points against Sunderland, who continue to struggle this season. The Black Cats have lost five and drawn just one of their last six outings. The pressure is building on boss Simon Grayson but the problems are long-term at the Stadium of Light and it's hard to see what another change of manager would achieve. Ipswich have won three out of their four home games so far this term and they have to be supported for victory.

Tuesday night's TV game

Draw at half-time in Cardiff v Leeds, Sky Bet Championship (Tuesday, 1945 BST, Sky Sports Football)

Third-placed Cardiff host Sky Bet Championship leaders Leeds in a cracking match to enjoy on Sky Sports on Tuesday night. These two clubs are separated by goal difference in the table with Wolves the side sitting between them in second. I predict a tight encounter in Wales and like odds-against for the draw at half-time. That has been a winner in two of Leeds' last three games and I reckon Neil Warnock will have his Cardiff side prepared to keep it tight against his former club. There's a long way to go in the season and I wouldn't be too surprised if the contest also ends level at the final whistle.

Sky Bet League One selection

Blackburn to beat Rotherham, Sky Bet League One (Tuesday, 1945 BST)

Blackburn need to bounce back after a couple of games without a win. That's not to say that there's any reason to worry about a 1-1 draw at Sky Bet League One leaders Shrewsbury on Saturday. The Shrews are primed to be the division's surprise outfit this season but I'm sure that Rovers will join them in the scrap for promotion. Rotherham are Blackburn's opponents at Ewood Park and I don't think the Millers will spring a surprise. Paul Warne's Rotherham have lost four of their five away games so far this season and this looks like another tough assignment.

Sky Bet League Two selection

Carlisle to beat Stevenage, Sky Bet League Two (Tuesday, 1945 BST)

Carlisle are in great spirits after a fantastic 5-0 victory at Crewe on Saturday. That ended a four-match wait for a win and I reckon the Cumbrians can follow up by beating Stevenage at Brunton Park on Tuesday. Stevenage have only won one of their last four outings and this is a bad time to face a Carlisle side looking to make their way up the League Two standings. Support the home win.
