Premier League Request-A-Bets: Goals, cards and corner statistics

We take a look at some of the potential weekend wagers in relation to the cards, corners and goals count, heading into matchday 23

  • Leicester have earned 25 corners in their last three Premier League matches, racking up 10 on two of those occasions and five in the other. Claude Puel's side have registered impressive victories away to Chelsea and Everton recently, keeping clean sheets in both of those fixtures, while coming from behind to grab three points at home to Manchester City, proving that they can mix it with the very best in the league. Inconsistency can be associated with Leicester, losing two of their last three, both at home to Cardiff and Southampton respectively, games they should not be losing. A recent FA Cup defeat to Newport has added albeit unexpected pressure onto the shoulders of Puel, but despite this, I expect the Foxes to bounce back with a victory at Molineux – against a Wolves outfit who have tasted successive Premier League defeats as well as losing their last two home fixtures.
👊 Best Bet- Leicester to win and Leicester 6+ corners: 6/1 (with Sky Bet)
  • Marcus Rashford has notched four goals in the five Premier League games Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been in charge of, bettering his total from the first 14 matches of the season. Manchester United have scored 15 goals in these five fixtures, recording three or more in three of them. David De Gea has been in fine form and has kept successive clean sheets, equalling his total for the previous 20 games, while Brighton have been involved with matches that have seen 10 or more corners in three of their last five, which highlights why this particular Request-A-Bet could be worth considering.
👊 Best Bet- Rashford to score, Manchester Utd to win by 3+ goals, 10+ match corners and 30+ match booking points: 6/1
  • Everton's last four matches have each produced 11 or more corners, while Southampton have seen two of their last three reach the same figure. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s last six games in charge have seen three or more goals go in on five occasions, which points towards a high goal and corner count in this one. Both sides are the same price with Sky Bet to get the three points, and it makes sense to look beyond the match result.
👊 Best Bet- Over 2.5 goals and 11+ match corners: 5/2

Other potential picks:

Bournemouth v West Ham
👊 Best Bet- Bournemouth to win, over 2.5 goals and 4+ corners each team: 11/2

Watford v Burnley
👊 Best Bet- Barnes to score and Burnley to win: 8/1

Arsenal v Chelsea
👊 Best Bet- Aubameyang & Hazard to score and Xhaka to be carded: 14/1

Huddersfield v Manchester City
👊 Best Bet- Gabriel Jesus to score a brace: 5/1
