Lionel Messi scored his incredible 600th goal for Barcelona on May 1, 2019 and it was greeted with wild celebrations from presenter Gary Lineker and pundit Rio Ferdinand in the BT Sport studio.

- Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham: Match report
The Barcelona legend brought up his milestone in just his 683rd game for the only club he's played for his entire career with a fittingly spectacular free kick in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Liverpool.
It sealed a crushing 3-0 victory at the Nou Camp and sent the world into Messi meltdown, with BT Sport duo Lineker, who played for Barcelona and Everton during his playing career, and former Manchester United defender Ferdinand clearly getting caught up in the magic moment.
Astonishingly that 'half-time' scoreline wasn't enough as Liverpool produced one of the greatest comebacks in European history one week later at Anfield before going on to lift the trophy against Tottenham.
Reds fans won't have enjoyed watching these celebrations at the time but they'll certainly be able to look back with a wry smile now...
