Coronavirus: Premier League stars Benjamin Mendy and Callum Hudson-Odoi both self-isolating

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy are both self-isolating due to the coronavirus.

Hudson-Odoi displayed cold symptoms on Monday, while Mendy has been isolated as a precaution after a member of his family was admitted to hospital displaying symptoms of the virus.

The whole Chelsea's full squad have now gone into self-isolation as a precaution, meaning their match at Aston Villa on Saturday is in serious doubt.

These latest developments follow Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta testing positive for coronavirus.

The club has closed its training ground and any staff or players who have been in recent contact with Arteta will now self-isolate.

The Premier League will meet on Friday morning to discuss the latest developments, with a feeling games will be played behind closed doors in the near future, but only once advised by the Government.
