Chelsea are backed to get back on track when they host West Brom live on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.
Monday Night Football recommended bets
3pts Chelsea to win and under 3.5 goals at 11/10
Chelsea need to get back on track with a Champions League encounter with Barcelona looming, and tonight's televised clash with West Brom gives them the chance to do exactly that.
Antonio Conte's side are in a mess, that much is clear, but this season could still be turned around should they somehow overcome the LaLiga giants and make serious progress in Europe's elite competition, while there's also the FA Cup and a top-four finish to play for.
Such incentives should help them find focus even if their title defence has long been over and if there's a semblance of professional pride left at Stamford Bridge, these next few weeks should reveal it.
Eden Hazard has been leading by example and with a hungry Olivier Giroud likely to be handed his first Premier League start, the home side should be too good for West Brom, who struggle to score on the road and have problems of their own with sides above them finding a way to bag important points.
With controversy hanging over the head of Jay Rodriguez and a five-point gap from the basement Baggies to 19th-placed Stoke, however grim things are for Chelsea they're a whole lot worse for Alan Pardew's side.
West Brom lost the reverse 4-0 and were beaten 3-0 by Man City at the Etihad at the end of January, and Chelsea to win to nil here would look tempting but for the fact they've conceded seven goals in their last two games.
Should Andreas Christensen return - all seven goals were scored after he limped off against Bournemouth - confidence in such a wager would increase, but at a similar price I'd prefer to back Chelsea to win and under 3.5 goals in total.
This gives us 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 and 2-1 to the home side, and I'd rather have the latter scoreline on-side than 4-0 and upwards given their obvious confidence issues in both attack and defence.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 West Brom
