Nick Hext has 85/40 and 10/1 selections in the card markets for Monday night's clash between Burnley and Newcastle.
Burnley v Newcastle United (2000 GMT, Sky Sports Premier League & Main Event)
The latest round of Premier League fixtures concludes with Burnley hosting Newcastle at Turf Moor on Monday night.
Burnley's survival last season was entirely built on making Turf Moor a fortress as 33 of their 40 points were acquired on their own turf.
This term, however, has been a complete reversal for the Clarets. Burnley have only won one of their five home games when getting the better of bottom-of-the-table Crystal Palace in Frank de Boer's last match in charge of the Eagles.
Sean Dyche's side have more than made up for their home struggles with some fantastic results on the road. Burnley have beaten Chelsea and Everton, drawn with Liverpool and Tottenham and only lost to leaders Manchester City in their five away trips in the Premier League.
The bookies are fully aware of this shift and make Newcastle the 17/10 favourites to get three points.
I can understand the appeal of the in-form Magpies with four wins, two draws and just one defeat suffered against Brighton in their last seven outings.
Talk of a takeover and the end of the Mike Ashley era has raised spirits monumentally at St James' Park but this remains a clash between two teams with very little between them.
That's certainly what a one-point difference in the standings suggests.
It's hard to make a case for this being anything other than a tight contest especially with injury worries over strikers Chris Wood and Sam Vokes making Burnley's resilient defence once again their major strength,
Rafael Benitez has been keeping expectations realistic among Magpies fans and the Spaniard is wise enough to know that a point is a more than decent enough return from a tricky trip to Lancashire.
I'm going to the card markets for my best bets.
My interest is immediately grabbed by Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden's four bookings collected in eight starts this season.
That record follows on from the former Arsenal youngster's eight cautions in his final 22 matches last term.
Hayden is now just one booking away from a one-match ban and I like the price for the 22-year-old to once again find his way into the referee's notebook.
Best odds of 85/40 are available for Hayden to be carded and that's inviting in a match that I fully expect to be an industrious encounter.
Opposition midfielders have been booked in five of Burnley's previous six matches to further make the case for a Hayden indiscretion and I also want an interest in the first player carded market.
Two of Hayden's four bookings this season have come as the opening card in a game so I'm also going to take a slice of the 10/1 for the Magpies midfielder to get the first card from referee Mike Dean at Turf Moor.
Prediction: Burnley 1-1 Newcastle (Sky Bet's odds: 9/2)
