FT: One final Arsenal attack ends with Walcott passing to a team-mate who was offside and didn't want the ball.

Stoke have produced a brilliant display to beat Arsenal, who weren't limp by any means but just could not find a way past Butland. They had chances and one or two penalty appeals, plus a disallowed goal which I'm sure we'll hear more about. It was a decision which simply could've gone either way and I'm not sure the other side could complain too much.

Ultimately, though, the hosts deserve enormous credit for a disciplined, opportunistic display which earns them three points.

90+4: Giroud will be annoyed at that as he heads wide from a fiery Monreal cross. Wasn't easy but he'd worked the space and will have expected to hit the target there.

90+3: Butland robbed as BT Sport default to goalscorer for man-of-the-match. Butland has been faultless, made a number of key saves and marshalled a brilliant defensive display.

90+2: Shocking from Mustafi as he slices a cross out for a goal-kick. Arsenal are spending a lot of time passing before consenting to cross. Why not just, well, cross?

90: More Arsenal pressure but all in areas Stoke are happy enough to deal with. Five added on as Iwobi loses the ball.

89: Martins Indi replaces Pieters, who may well ave been injured in that challenge after all. Might be a precaution... we'll find out in time I'm sure.

88: Very good organisation from Stoke as Arsenal are forced to cross twice from deep. The second sees Giroud penalised for a foul on Butland.

87: Hugely beneficial to Stoke, this, because you tend to find late stoppages aren't fully accounted for. We'll see, but that should take it from three to five minutes added I reckon as Pieters comes straight back on.

85: It's a heavy, quite possibly dangerous tackle from Mustafi, and should've been given as a free-kick. Pieters is fine, gladly.

84: Pieters goes down in aparent agony under a tackle from Mustafi. This time, Arsenal don't kick it out and nor should they. They do, however, lose the ball.

83: Arsenal haven't looked as threatening since the changes, partly because Stoke have dropped even deeper, also because they lack shape and balance.

82: Poor from Walcott, who loses the ball and then gives away a free-kick with a cheap foul on Pieters.

80: No impact yet from the Arsenal subs as we enter the final 10 minutes of normal time. No serious stoppages, either.

79: Lacazette and Xhaka are both off, replaced by Iwobi and Walcott.

78: Giroud, Xhaka and Lacazette take turns at bringing a high ball under control before Cameron clears. Arsenal come again through Oxlade-Chamberlain but Giroud and Lacazette both make the same run, which forces Oxlade-Chamberlain to shoot. It's deflected wide for a corner which leads to nothing.

77: Ozil has been good today but is running out of patience as he fires a hopeful ball towards Lacazette with the French striker has no chance to control.

75: Ramsey is fouled on the edge of the box but the referee plays on. Not sure why he doesn't bring it back when Arsenal earn a corner - if only football was mature enough to give the attacking team the option, eh?

Xhaka's corner goes all the way through and Stoke eventually win the ball back.

74: Apparently his big toe may have been offside. Underlines how tough that was to get right as Stoke earn a breather with a throw-in.

73: Wow! Arsenal have a goal ruled out for offside and it appears to be the wrong decision. Lacazette lashed into the net, a breathtaking finish, but replays suggest he was level. Tough one to get right, mind you, with bodies in the box. What a finish it was.

72: Time running out for Arsenal now but they were 14/1 at one stage last week before winning and are only 9/2 here.

71: Goalscorer Jese is off, his legs had gone. In his place comes Sobhi.

70: Huge chance for Arsenal as Lacazette fails to bring the ball under control. All that needed was a touch and he was going to be shooting from six yards. The ball breaks to Ozil whose shot is blocked by a Stoke head and the danger passes for now.

68: Ozil's cross falls to Ramsey, who thrashes one into the box where Berahino can clear. Arsenal come back at Stoke and Ramsey very nearly finds space for a shot having brought down a high ball with a delicate touch.

67: Brilliant interplay from Arsenal as Giroud plays in Welbeck, and Butland again comes to the rescue to push the ball behind for a corner.

66: Zouma again steps in to intercept before Welbeck wins a throw, which allows the Gunners to bring on Giroud for Kolasinac.

65: Ramsey's cross is nodded back towards the penalty spot by Welbeck, but the busy Fletcher is there to clear. One thing I would say about Arsenal is that they are happy to go wide and cross, which hasn't always been the case here at Stoke. Giroud about to come on, too.

63: Bellerin's attempted clearance goes behind for another corner, just their second of the game. It's taken short and Mustafi clears. Fletcher then slices a shot but it falls tantalisingly to Choupo-Moting, who fires into the side netting.

61: Respite for Stoke as Pieters bursts forward and that's a great save from Cech, after Berahino had done superbly to nod a cross goalwards.

60: Another chance, this time for Ramsey as Mustafi's ball back allows the midfielder to shoot straight at Butland on the stretch.

59: Free header for Welbeck but it ricoches off his shoulder and over the bar. It was hard to score given that he was 15 yards out but he should've done much better. An Arsenal goal is coming unless Stoke sort themselves out at the back here.

58: Stoke now deeper than an after-dinner chat between Hawking and Chompsky and this time Butland spills Bellerin's shot, eventually bundling it out for a corner.

57: What a take that is from Butland. One-handed, he collects off the head of Welbeck after a cross by Oxlade-Chamberlain. Wave after wave and Diouf does really well again to just nip in ahead of Bellerin.

56: Another penalty appeal as a deep cross is nodded back in by Ramsey. It bounces up onto the arm of Diouf. Just as earlier, is that a penalty? No idea. It his his arm... probably an accident.

55: Arsenal totally on top - hence why Arsenal has been the first word of virtually every update since the goal - and Zouma has to slide in to deny Bellerin, forcing an Arsenal corner.

52: Arsenal are out to 11/4, with Stoke 11/10 and the draw 2/1. Meanwhile, Welbeck is impressively strong to out-muscle Diouf but Bellerin can't find him with the return ball.

51: As you'd expect, Arsenal have been on top since the goal and are almost in as Lacazette brings down a long ball and tries to find Welbeck.

50: Arsenal were behind against Leicester of course but that was on home soil. What can they do here, at a ground where so many things have gone wrong before, against a side who are good at sitting on a lead?

47: GOAL! Stoke 1-0 Arsenal! Jese!

Arsenal lose it in midfield and from there it's all too easy for Stoke. Jese runs across Monreal, Berahino finds him, and the new signing strokes it home.

46: Under way then for the second half. Will Arsenal find more joy down that left-hand channel? Will Stoke continue to be dangerous on the counter? Will I last another 45 minutes? All to be revealed.

1820: Arsenal are out to 10/11 with Sky Bet having been bright early, forcing saved from Butland, before Stoke took their shape a little better as the half wore on.

The home side have had two good chances and aren't a bad bet at 5/1, surely, with the draw 15/8.

For all the odds, including Price Boosts, click here.

45+2: Shawcross heads a ball behind which Butland had come to collect. Arsenal corner and it's Xhaka to take. This time delivery is good and then Ramsey is penalised for a foul on Butland. There was no contact whatsoever and both Butland and Ramsey knew it, but there we are. So ends a half which didn't amount to much after a bright opening.

45+1: Flecther launches a ball into the Arsenal box which Cech has to punch clear. He then comes out again, the Arsenal 'keeper, to collect a cross and launch an Arsenal break.

45: Fletcher goes in hard on Ozil unnecessarily, which allows the visitors to launch what might be their final attack of the half. This time, Lacazette is involved but Arsenal again have Xhaka to blame as the move breaks down owing to his overhit pass.

43: Ramsey plays a gorgeous ball into the corner where Welbeck can trigger an attack. Arsenal then look really threatening but Xhaka again shoots when there were better options and Stoke can clear.

42: Diouf bullies his way through the Arsenal midfield before Monreal slides in to win the ball back. As the Stoke player lies on the floor for no obvious reason, his side are under pressure until Monreal stupidly kicks the ball out. Wenger furious. Giroud furious. Why do players keep doing that? The rules are pretty clear and Diouf is not seriously hurt, nor does he have a head injury. Useless.

He's up. He was just out of breath.

40: Arsenal aren't creating much at the moment with Lacazette and Welbeck quiet, but neither are Stoke... until Allen bursts through only to be forced wide by Cech's awareness and positioning.

39: Excellent again from Zouma to deny Ozil, who briefly looked like he might get in behind down the left once more. He's been left isolated far too often for Mark Hughes' liking but is doing extremely well against the German, plus Bellerin.

37: Oxlade-Chamberlain drags a shot wide before losing out to Pieters as he again goes solo down the Arsenal right.

35: A bit of a lull after Bellerin fires over from the edge of the box, but Arsenal then spring to live led by Ozil. However, their patient approach comes to an end when Xhaka shoots from 35 yards, straight at Butland.

32: Chance and it's again for Stoke as Shawcross heads high and wide from a free header, 12 yards out. Breathless stuff which means it's been difficult to look at the odds, but Stoke are 9/2, the draw is 9/4 and Arsenal are 4/6.

Price Boosts include Lacazette to score first at 7/2 and a penalty to be awarded at 11/4.

31: The Stoke free-kick comes to nothing despite the best efforts of Allen, who beats two men but then loses his balance and with it, the ball.

30: It's an extremely poor free-kick from Fletcher but he might have another chance after Xhaka fouls Jese.

29: Stoke do break quickly these days and Choupo-Moting wins a pair of free-kicks near the Arsenal box on the right.

28: Great work from Butland, as Ramsey gets in at the back post and volleys towards goal only for the Stoke goalkeeper to make himself big and force it behind.

27: Arsenal back in possession and they win a free-kick when Bellerin is fouled by Fletcher. Been lively, the Spaniard, from this left-sided role.

25: Yep, Shaqiri is off, replaced by Berahino. His last goal came in February 2016. Remember when he was demanding a move to Spurs?

24: Stoke look like they are considering a change here with the left-side of their defence vulnerable. Perhaps it has more to do with Shaqiri, though, as he's down injured.

Aaron Ramsey on the ball
Aaron Ramsey on the ball

21: Stoke should score. A combination of bodies block a fierce strike from Oxlade-Chamberlin and Jese is away on the break. He bundles past two weak challenges and squares to Choupo-Moting, who hits it straight at Cech from 10 yards.

20: Arsenal yet again in behind down the left and it's a corner as Butland pushes the ball behind. All Arsenal right now.

19: Zouma is fortunate to escape a booking after bringing down Welbeck, who had exchanged passes with Bellerin and was about to play in Lacazette. From the free-kick, Welbeck forces a good save from Butland after another clipped pass over the top.

18: Shaqiri briefly threatens behind Kolasinac but uses his arm to control the ball and it's an Arsenal free-kick. Xhaka plays a lovely pass through to Welbeck but Butland is off his line quickly to get there just ahead of the Arsenal striker.

17: Brilliant stuff from Lacazette, who chips it in behind to find Ramsey. Diouf goes shoulder-to-shoulder with the Welsh midfielder which is enough to take all the power off his shot across goal, which means Butland can collect.

16: Shaqiri is fuming as the referee's assistant gives a throw when in fairness he did look to have kept the ball in. Arsenal waste possession when Ozil's header is misdirected after a long ball from Mustafi..

15: Whistles from the crowd as Arsenal settle into their rhythm, only for Mustafi to fire a straight ball over the top which is far too strong for Lacazette.

14: Lovely from Arsenal. Ramsey finds Ozil, who goes inside to Bellerin. He exchanges quick passes with Lacazette and then fires a ball across the six-yard line, but Welbeck is too deep to get on the end of it and Pieters can clear.

13: Welbeck is there to head clear Shaqiri's cross before Oxlade-Chamberlain tries to launch a counter. Cameron does well to get in ahead of Lacazette and put the ball out.

12: Shaqiri does well to win a throw deep inside the Arsenal half, which Diouf takes before drawing a foul from Ramsey. Not that the Arsenal man thinks he did anything wrong.

11: Good game so far as Oxlade-Chamberlain's pace earns his side a corner. Xhaka steps up to take it and after a header back across goal, Arsenal want a penalty. The ball certainly strikes Pieters on the arm but he wasn't looking. What does that mean? Not sure, really. Except no penalty.

10: Bellerin almost plays in Ramsey but Fletcher is alive to the threat and intercepts. On the break, Jese is caught offside.

9: A couple of big challenges from Mustafi win Arsenal the ball back but Ozil and Ramsey are on different wavelengths and Butland is able to collect.

8: Arsenal break following a wasted Stoke free-kick and it's a brilliant tackle from Zouma to stop Bellerin from crossing.

7: Fletcher, Shaqiri and Pieters combine but Shaqiri is cut out by Mustafi just as he looks set to work an opening.

6: Some lovely touches from Jese early on, glimpses of the talent this former Real and PSG player has. Welbeck meanwhile is taken out by Shawcross but had lost control of the ball and the referee waves play on.

5: Arsenal dance through the Stoke midfield but the touch of the recalled Ramsey is heavy and Cameron clears.

4: Chance Stoke, as Jese ghosts into the box and is met by the onrushing Cech, who is big and bold and pushes the shot away. Stoke are at Arsenal here, as you'd expect, and Choupo-Moting is only just offside as he too looks to get in behind.

3: Pieters hacks clear for Stoke and Monreal is forced to put the ball out for a Stoke throw on halfway.

2: Kolasinac was a bright spark for Arsenal last week and bursts through midfield to briefly threaten here. On the other side, nifty footwork from Ozil earns Arsenal a throw-in near the corner flag.

1: We are under way for the final Premier League game of the day.

1727: The teams are out on a chilly, damp evening in Stoke. I have taken on sugary drinks and am ready to go one more time. Your prize for sticking with me all day (because you all have, surely...) is Dave 'Tickers' Tickner for Super Sunday.

Team news

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Monreal, Kolasinac, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xhaka, Ramsey, Welbeck, Ozil, Lacazette

Stoke: Butland, Zouma, Shawcross, Cameron, Diouf, Allen, Fletcher, Pieters, Shaqiri, Jese, Choupo-Moting

1723: Easy to envisage a scenario in which Giroud pops up and wins it for Arsenal, just like last week, isn't it? This is his type of game - or at least it feels like that.

1719: One big positive for Arsenal is the return of Mustafi to the defence...

CAN SHKODRAN SPEAK SCOUSE? | Welbeck & Mustafi go 'One on One'

1717: David John, our chief Premier League tipster, reckons Arsenal might steal a 1-0 win. Very un-Arsenal.

Here's what he says: "Mark Hughes’ side are a sneaky fancy to struggle this season in some quarters but I quite liked the look of their team on paper at Everton last week and just one lapse was the difference as Wayne Rooney headed home the winner on the stroke of half time.

"The issue currently is a lack of goals and creativity in their performance - labelled by one observer as "anaemic" - but the pieces are seemingly in place to improve with games under their belt as Saido Berahino, Xherdan Shaqiri, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and this week’s arrival Jese Rodriguez start to gel.

"It seems like being a tough evening ahead for the hosts until they start to get some continuity among the fresh faces but I don’t see them being hammered and a solitary goal might well be good enough to keep the momentum going in the right direction for Wenger and company."

Click here to read his preview in full.

1715: As mentioned last Friday, I'm not one for betting on Arsenal games (confession: I am an Arsenal fan) but were I to play here, it'd be Xhaka to be carded (13/8) and for the first booking (9/1).

He's exactly the type of player Arsenal need to get stuck into this sort of game and it could well happen here.

1712: As you might know, Arsenal's record at Stoke is far from perfect. Here's Opta with more...

  • Stoke have lost just once in their last seven home games against the Gunners (W3 D3 L1), although it came last time out in May, losing 1-4.
  • Arsenal have won four of their last five Premier League games against Stoke, drawing the other.
  • Arsenal will be looking to win their opening two games to a Premier League season for the first time since 2009-10.
  • Stoke suffered a 0-1 away defeat to Everton on MD1 and they last lost their opening two games of a Premier League season in 2010-11.
  • Olivier Giroud’s winner against Leicester in the opening game was his 99th goal for Arsenal – he’s looking to become the 19th player to score a century of goals for the Gunners.
  • Peter Crouch, who has netted more Premier League goals versus Arsenal than any other side (9), has scored in his last two appearances against them at the Bet365 Stadium.
  • Mesut Özil scored in both league meetings with Stoke last season in the Premier League.
  • Alexandre Lacazette could become the first Arsenal player to score in both of his opening two Premier League appearances for the club, should he net in this fixture.
  • In fact, the last Arsenal player to score in his first two league appearances for the club was Ian Wright back in 1991.
  • Granit Xhaka assisted two goals in Arsenal’s 4-3 win over Leicester on MD1 – this equalled his tally in the entire 2016-17 Premier League season (two in 32 apps).
  • Mark Hughes has lost more Premier League matches against Arsene Wenger (13) than he has versus any other manager in the competition.
  • Hughes has averaged 1.20 points per game in Premier League games played in August, only in November matches (0.98) has he recorded a lower rate as a manager.

1708: Now to Stoke v Arsenal, then, and Sky Bet make the Gunners 17/20 favourites. Stoke are quoted at 16/5 and it's 29/10 the draw.

Lacazette is 4/1 to score first for the second week in succession, with Jese 11/1 to do so on his Stoke debut. It's 10/1 the Gunners win 2-0 and 4/1 that Ozil scores in an Arsenal win.

1702: Confirmed: no jackpot winner in the Super 6 and little in the way of major drama for the layers, who will have been relieved to see Burnley beaten. No doubt Southampton's win was costly but elsewhere plenty of the fancied teams failed to oblige.

1700: AND IT'S NOT OVER. No, on we go to Stoke v Arsenal. Kick-off is 30 minutes away and here are the teams...

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Monreal, Kolasinac, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xhaka, Ramsey, Welbeck, Ozil, Lacazette

Stoke: Butland, Zouma, Shawcross, Cameron, Diouf, Allen, Fletcher, Pieters, Shaqiri, Jese, Choupo-Moting

1654: So the only late drama came at St Mary's - it's full-time everywhere in the Premier League. Worrying start for Bournemouth, who are yet to score and must surely select Defoe from the off next time.

Brighton have suffered back-to-back defeats but did fairly well today and will have easier games, while Palace, like Bournemouth, still seek their first goal but did look dangerous.

Full round-up and betting reaction to come but before that, it looks like there will not be a Super 6 jackpot winner. Will confirm that ASAP.

1651: What a game at St Mary's and that's a 13/5 winner for our David John, whose headline bet today was Southampton to score three or more. Why didn't I just back Southampton? Useless other teams. I forget which, but useless.

Full-time at Anfield and Liverpool edge to a 1-0 win.

1649: GOAL! Southampton 3-2 West Ham!

Penalty Saints! Their second of the game, and this time Austin steps up to take it. He makes no mistake...

1646: Southampton have had a goal correctly chalked off as they look to edge back ahead. At Anfield, Kaikai forces a save from Mignolet to show that Palace are not out of this.

1645: GOAL! Bournemouth 0-2 Watford

A fine, deserved goal which seals victory for Watford at Bournemouth. It's Capoue who strikes and he's got previous at this stage of the season - he bagged four in five Premier League games this time last year.

1643: Bournemouth are looking for a way through against Watford but their penalty appeals are turned down after Fraser insists he's been fouled.

1642: RED CARD! Robson-Kanu is off for West Brom, after an elbow. Bonkers.

1641: As for the Super 6, we're hearing that goals for Bournemouth or Burnley could create a £1million jackpot winner.

1640: Redmond almost makes something happen for Southampton, who should've won last week and are threatening to make a mess of this, too.

At Burnley, the home side are struggling to create since falling behind to this goal from Robson-Kanu...

1638: Arsenal bring back Mustafi in place of Holding. Jese is in fro Stoke ahead of Berahino, while Choupo-Moting replaces Bojan and will make his debut.

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Monreal, Kolasinac, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xhaka, Ramsey, Welbeck, Ozil, Lacazette
Stoke: Butland, Zouma, Shawcross, Cameron, Diouf, Allen, Fletcher, Pieters, Shaqiri, Jese, Choupo-Moting

1636: Chance for Brighton as Hemed shows a glimpse of what he can do with a low shot, before Leicester break and threaten at the other end. Team news coming for Arsenal's trip to Stoke...

1631: GOAL! Southampton 2-2 West Ham!

It would be pretty typical were the Sporting Life Acca to be denied by Southampton failing to convert a 2-0 lead against 10 men, but that's what they're threatening to do. Hernandez again, with his 39th Premier League goal, all from inside the area. It's 2-2.

1630: GOAL! Bournemouth 0-1 Watford!

1629: GOAL! Burnley 0-1 West Brom!

HOLD ON A MOMENT... We're now one goal away from the Sporting Life Acca as Robson-Kanu steers home a goal at Turf Moor.

1628: Hold on a moment - Wolves are level. We're a Wolves and a West Brom goal away from SL Acca joy, which is long overdue.

Meanwhile at Anfield, Mane's shot falls to Wijnaldum, whose shot is then blocked back to Mane, and he forces a save from Hennessy.

That's Wijnaldum's final contribution.

1625: As Brighton bring on former Leicester man Knockaert to the delight of their travelling fans, Murray misses a chance to get his side back in it.

Meanwhile Gray once again threatens to break the deadlock at Bournemouth, where Watford are more than a match for the hosts. Encouraging signs under their new manager Marco Silva after last week's draw with Liverpool.

1624: The Soccer Saturday Price Boost is now out to 13/2, with Liverpool and Burnley struggling to find their way through.

Liverpool are still a shade of odds-on at 5/6, but Burnley are out to 11/4.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth are 9/4 following the introduction of Defoe, who is 8/1 to score first.

1621: Good save from Hart to keep West Ham in the game as he keeps out a strike from Tadic.

1620: Gabbiadini is close to doubling his own tally and putting Southampton two goals in front with a fizzing effort which clips the bar at St Mary's, where a feisty game had just gone a little quiet before that.

Bournemouth have brought Defoe on for Afobe, predictably. Watford remain on top there.

1618: That's it for Sturridge, who managed an hour but is replaced by Salah after a lively Premier League debut for the Reds last weekend. Can he make the difference?

1617: Liverpool are really going for it now, which means chances at both ends. Not that you could call this a chance as Firmino brazenly goes for the top corner from the touchline, just firing over the bar. Soon after, Mane sets up Henderson but Hennessy is down to make a good save. He's had a solid game, the Palace 'keeper.

1616: 295,158 remain in the mix for the Super 6 jackpot. There will be a heck of a lot of excited people out there. Good luck if you're one of them.

1615: Another blow for the Sporting Life Accumulator as Wolves are losing 1-0 at home to Cardiff. And Portsmouth are behind. Rubbish game.

1614: Back at Anfield and both sides have had chances. First, Wijnaldum's shot was saved before former Liverpool man Benteke fires over with the goal gaping.

1612: GOAL! Leicester 2-0 Brighton

Maguire scores for Leicester, nodding in at the far post to sure put this game to bed. He looked dangerous at Arsenal last week and has crept in unnoticed there to put Brighton in real trouble.

1611: Gross, a summer signing for Brighton who has a brightness about him, makes a mess of a good chance to deliver a free-kick into the Leicester box. He could be one to watch for the Seagulls this season but his final ball will need to be better than that.

At Anfield, it's a similar story as Milner wastes a good position with a poor free-kick.

1608: At Burnley, West Brom think they've taken the lead but Livermore's deflected strike is ruled out for offside due to Rodriguez interfering with play. Cue 'grey area' conversations.

1607: Southampton have started brightly, too, as they look to put the game to bed. Bertrand down the left is looking really dangerous while Tadic is also causing problems for the Hammers.

1605: Bournemouth may well have had a talking to at half-time as they've come out a much better side, albeit one not really creating much. Defoe will be on soon enough you'd imagine.

1601: Whistles blowing for the start of the second half. Let's hope for a little more in the way of action. More specifically, goals for Rangers and Portsmouth, plus the two sides not yet winning in the Sporting Life Accumulator - West Brom (errr not promising...) and Wolves.

1556: If I had to back one side right now, it'd be Burnley at 2/1. They've looked better with every passing minute at Turf Moor and West Brom have offered little. This attempt from Gudmundsson one of several chances for the home side...

Burnley's Johann Berg Gudmundsson shoots
Burnley's Johann Berg Gudmundsson shoots

SUPER 6: And finally, the Super 6. A whopping 323,000 players remain in jackpot contention, owing to the paucity of goals on show. It's looking fairly likely that £1million us given away by Jeff later this afternooon...

LATEST BETTING: Liverpool are out to 4/7, Bournemouth to 6/4 and Burnley to 2/1 in those games which are all 0-0 at present.

Leicester are 1/6 and Southampton are 1/10, of those sides who are in front.

The Soccer Saturday Price Boost is now on offer at 5/1, which doesn't look bad considering that was the 'before' price and that Leicester are 1-0 up.

It's 75/1 that all six sides involved score in the second half.

HALF-TIME: That's the first half done everywhere in the Premier League. Leicester lead Brighton thanks to the earliest of early goals and while the visitors have grown into the game, Leicester should be out of sight.

At Anfield, Liverpool have huffed, puffed and failed to impress, whereas Burnley and Watford have been very good. All three of those games are goalless.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (l) and Daniel Sturridge battle for the ball
Ruben Loftus-Cheek (l) and Daniel Sturridge battle for the ball

Finally, Southampton lead West Ham 2-1 but will be frustrated to give their visitors a lift with a goal just before the break. Still, the 10-man Hammers have much to do to get level with Saints going great guns in attack.

1547: Watford have been really impressive and Gray should put them in front with the last kick of the half at Bournemouth. Alas, he skies it over the bar and that is that. They go in level.

1545: While that was happening, Mee missed a golden opportunity for Burnley who are really banging on the door now. Dare I say West Brom have come for a 0-0 draw?

1544: GOAL! Southampton 2-1 West Ham!

Well, that's a lifeline for 10-man West Ham and it comes through the precise source you'd expect it to come through: Hernandez. The Mexican was excellent at Old Trafford and gets West Ham back in this game with a goal late into a nightmare half for his side.

1544: Mignolet is called into action as Palace threaten on the break, Puncheon ultimately firing off a shot which the Liverpool keeper does well to keep hold of.

Leicester meanwhile should score and it's Okazaki, this time on the end of a ball from Vardy, who fails to convert from an angle.

1542: Vokes is looking dangerous for Burnley and Sky Bet have him at 4/1 to score in 90 minutes, one of their Price Boosts. It'll tempt some, no doubt, as the Wales man looks really lively, heading wide this time from a Brady cross.

He's loving it, and why not? Or should that be 'why'?

That should be game over at St Mary's, where poor discipline from West Ham has cost them. A simple shirt pull concedes a penalty which Tadic converts, albeit unconvincingly.

1538: Another chance for Chalobah at Bournemouth, who have been poor so far, while Gudmundsson goes close from the edge of the box for Burnley. Still just two goals in the Premier League as in the Championship, Ipswich are ahead thanks to £1million signing Waghorn.

1537: Perhaps the star of the show for Liverpool has been Robertson, whose latest cross catches Mane off-guard and the chance is gone. That's been the way for Liverpool so far - their final ball, final touch has been heavy.

1533: RED CARD! Well, Noble was very lucky to stay on the pitch at St Mary's, but West Ham are ultimately down to 10 men as Arnautovic throws an elbow right in front of the referee. Nothing but stupidity from the man who got sent off against the same side when playing for Stoke last year.

1532: After Liverpool were involved in so much excitement last week, no real surprise that they're involved in a pretty dire affair so far. It's 0-0 at Anfield where, but for a nice dipping effort from Sturridge, there's been little to shout about.

A certain someone is being sorely missed...

1531: At Turf Moor, no sign yet of a goal really but Burnley are at least beginning to push forward, often opting to throw high balls towards Foster in the West Brom goal.

Rodriguez is the lone striker for the Baggies. Don't envy the job of lone striker in a West Brom side playing away from home, I really don't.

1528: West Ham, the other side losing away from home, have created a couple of openings including one for Hernandez and another for Arnautovic.

However, they're lucky to still have Noble on the pitch. He should be straight off for a studs-up challenge way worse than Gary Cahill's, which resulted in a red last week at about this time. Horror challenge.

1526: Brighton have a goal chalked off for offside, the correct decision despite what's a lovely finish from the Seagulls legend.

It's still Leicester 1-0 Brighton thanks to this combination...

1523: Midway through the first half, one of the away sides making an impression is Watford. Their new-look midfield is causing problems against the Cherries as Chalobah is the latest to create a chance for himself. "Bournemouth haven't been in the game," says Merson as Gray threatens.

Watford are 11/4 and on the evidence of the first 23 minutes, that's generous.

1521: It should be 2-0 at Leicester, as Vardy misses a chance having been played in by Okazaki. Brighton are all at sea here as they try to adjust to life in the Premier League.

1520: Just got word of the teams Sky Bet are hoping to avoid today. In other words, the best-backed selections on the coupon are...

Leicester
Liverpool
Arsenal
Bournemouth
Burnley
Fulham
Southampton
Wolves
Bristol City

1518: Big goal in the Championship as Nottingham Forest are in front against Middlesbrough thanks to McKay, in a game between two of the standout sides in the division on early evidence. Didn't expect to be writing that about Forest, to be frank.

1517: Robertson crosses over just about everyone at Anfield and Matip's header is wide of an empty net. The defender was caught off guard there and really should've done better.

1515: While we await the next goal, here are the most popular Super 6 selections for this £1million round.

Bournemouth 2-1 Watford (29%)

Burnley 1-1 West Brom (26%)

Leicester 2-0 Brighton (36%)

Liverpool 3-1 Palace (26%)

Southampton 1-1 West Ham (26%)

Fulham 2-1 Sheff Weds (26%)

You can track your progress here.

1514: Milner back in the Liverpool side and keen to impress as he chooses to shoot when he should probably cross. Not like him to be selfish and make the wrong decision, is it?

1513: Well that's a good start, isn't it? Southampton the cornerstone of my bets today and ahead already. You could see them scoring a few if that acts as a huge relief, as it should. Then again, West Ham have been dangerous in the first few minutes so there is much work yet to do.

1511: GOAL! Southampton 1-0 West Ham

Southampton have scored their first goal in six home games and it comes so soon after West Ham had forced a save from Forster. Gabbiadini's shot is dragged a little and that probably doesn't help Hart, but one way or another it finds the net and that's a rare, rare sight at St Mary's.

Manolo Gabbiadini scores for Southampton against West Ham

1509: Morgan heads wide as Leicester look to really assert against Brighton, who named Murray up front today. At Bournemouth, the visitors force an opening which Cleverley slams towards goal only for Ake to block.

1508: The Soccer Saturday Price Boost is all the way into 100/30 already. Leicester were the middle of the three in terms of win probability according to the odds. Wonder how many of you are the type of punter to put a tick next to them even this early...

1506: Bournemouth are also on the front foot as they force an early corner against Watford, for whom Andre Gray makes his debut this afternoon.

1505: Southampton have started brightly against West Ham, just as they did against Swansea a week ago. Meanwhile at Liverpool, Robertson - making his debut - has also been on the attack.

1504: Kind of ruined my casual 'games are under way' message. But they are, certainly at Leicester where there are reports that a number of season-ticket holders can't get into the ground for some reason. Anyone more than a minute late has already missed the fastest goal of the season, a record which may last some time.

1501: GOAL! Leicester 1-0 Brighton

What a start for Leicester. It's a mistake from Ryan in the Brighton goal as Okazaki gets in to score after a minute. It all came from Mahrez, whose shot was spilled into Okazaki's path after a darting run from the winger.

1458: On the pro-Southampton score, West Ham's Winston Reid is out having been injured in the warm-up. Angelo Ogbonna is in to replace him.

1456: As for me, I've backed the Sporting Life Accumulator, obviously. I've also had a treble on Southampton, Portsmouth and Rangers. Why am I sharing this? Not sure, to be honest. But safe to say my hopes for the afternoon tie in quite closely with those of Craig David, the most famous man from Southampton that I know of.

1452: Back to United, and they're 9/4 for the title with Sky Bet following their second win of the season. With just over 10 minutes to go in Wales they were a massive 150/1 to win 4-0, but win 4-0 they did.

Click here for our report, which will be updated with more odds, news and reaction.

1448: And then we come to the Sporting Life Accumulator, which must win again one day. Today's is risky - taking on Burnley at home, for instance - but the price is big. Click here for full details or here if you just want to back it.

1443: There's also the small matter of the free-to-play Super 6, for which there is a £1million jackpot once again. All you have to do is predict six scorelines and you could be the latest person to have their life changed by this wonderful game which you can enter simply by clicking here.

1440: Right, a lot to get through and not a lot of time. Firstly, I fancy Southampton. No, they haven't scored since the Ice Age at home. No, it will not last. Like DJ, I think they could hammer, erm, West Ham. I'm backing them in a single.

If you prefer a multiple, three home sides make up the Soccer Saturday Price Boost at 7/1 with Sky Bet.

1430: Headlines there are Sturridge starts for Liverpool in place of Salah. There's no place for Defoe in the Bournemouth side - for the second time this season he is on the bench. And Evans is not in the West Brom XI. Reportedly, he is still not quite fit but with Man City knocking at the door, perhaps that's that for his West Brom career.

I'll be back in five with Super 6 and SSPB details, but only if you promise to read David John's preview first.

1425: Right then, here are all 10 teams ahead of the 3pm kick-offs in the Premier League:

Bournemouth: Begovic, Cook, Ake, Surman, Arter, Afobe, Daniels, Smith, King, Fraser, Ibe
Watford: Gomes, Britos, Prodl, Amrabat, Cleverley, Richarlison, Chalobah, Doucoure, Gray, Femenia, Holebas

Burnley: Heaton, Lowton, Tarkoski, Mee, Ward, Gudmundsson, Hendrick, Cork, Defour, Brady, Vokes
West Brom: Foster, Nyom, Hegazi, Dawson, Brunt, Phillips, Field, Livermore, Barry, McClean, Rodriguez

Leicester: Schmeichel, Simpson, Morgan, Maguire, Fuchs, Mahrez, Ndidi, James, Albrighton, Okazaki, Vardy
Brighton: Ryan, Bruno, Dunk, Duffy, Suttner, Murphy, Propper, Stephens, March, Gross, Murray

Liverpool: Mignolet, Milner, Klavan, Gomez, Matip, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Firmino, Sturridge
Crystal Palace: Hennessey, Fosu-Mensah, Tomkins, Dann, Ward, Van Aanholt, Milivojevic, Puncheon, Loftus-Cheek, Townsend, Benteke

Southampton: Forster, Soares, Bertrand, Yoshida, Stephens, Davis, Tadic, Romeu, Lemina, Gabbiadini, Redmond
West Ham: Hart, Reid, Creswell, Fonte, Zabaleta, Rice, Arnautovic, Noble, Antonio, Ayew, Chicharito

FT: And that's it. For the second time in less than a week, United run out 4-0 winners against a side who offered nothing in attack and proved generous in defence. I'm not sure this was even United at their best, but what a start it has been to the season for Mourinho's side.

90+2: Ayew fires wide from range in the second of three added minutes. What an easy afternoon for De Gea.

90: This game was over 10 minutes ago as United now take their time and await the final whistle. Stand by for team news from the 3pm kick-offs and reaction from Wales.

89: Elsewhere, Celtic have just doubled their advantage to lead 2-0 at Kilmarnock while Sheffield United held on to beat Barnsley. It has not, repeat NOT, been a good start for the bookmakers today. A heavy United win and all three underdogs losing to nil is extremely bad news for them.

87: United break again but this time Carroll is back to intercept after Pogba's off-balance cross.

84: GOAL! Martial! Swansea 0-4 Man Utd

Swansea have lost their shape as Martial runs at Mawson, cuts inside and fires home. It's a fine goal against weary opponents and evidence of the options Mourinho now has in attack.

83: I remain to be convinced that United are going to be in there fighting for the title with three or four games left, but one thing I will say us that they have acted like cold-blooded killers in their opening two games. Both opponents did really well for large periods, particularly in defence, but were ultimate made to pay a heavy price for their mistakes.

82: GOAL! Pogba! Swansea 0-3 Man Utd

Carroll gives it away to Pogba. He finds Mkhitaryan, who returns it to Pogba. The French midfielder then clips his finish over Fabianski and that's 3-0 out of nowhere. Simple but ruthless after another Swansea mistake.

80: GOAL! Lukaku! Swansea 0-2 Man Utd

Proof that the layers aren't always right as United put the game to bed. It's all through Martial's run at the heart of the Swansea defence followed by a simple pass from Mkhitaryan to Lukaku, who has inexcusably been left alone in space 15 yards out. He has no problem firing home.

Two Swansea lapses, two United goals.

Romelu Lukaku celebrates

80: United games last season were notable for their late action. Will we see any here? Sky Bet say no - it's odds-on at 4/6 that the game ends 1-0. They offer 14/1 that Martial scores the second goal of the game and 7/1 that Fellaini is booked as their Price Boosts focus in on the two United subs.

77: Lukaku turns his man and looks up but his ball to Mkhitaryan is really poor and Swansea can clear, again through Fernandez. He and Mawson have done really well in the main, although it was Fernandez who stood still to allow Bailly in. Fine margins.

76: That's really good from Valencia, who uses his body to roll Routledge out of the way and clear to safety. At the other end it's even better from Fernandez to slide in and stop Lukaku from galloping into the box, before Naughton calmly chests a cross back to Fabianski.

Plenty of encouragement at both ends for Swansea, but time is running out.

75: Pogba's effort is just a little high and just a little wide. One of those the goalkeeper casually watches as though he had it covered even though he was nowhere near. Martial is on for Rashford and Fellaini for Mata.

73: The second yellow of the game goes to Fer as he leaves a boot in on Blind, whose shot flies over the bar. Good refereeing to call that back for the free-kick around 30 yards out.

72: Swansea's latest corner fizzes across the box and causes problems, but United do clear and briefly look dangerous on the break as Naughton just nips in before Lukaku can go clear.

71: Matic does superbly to get in front of Fernandez and clear for another corner.

70: Abraham's deflected cross falls to Routledge, but he's forced backwards. Naughton then tries to bend a ball around the United defence and earns a corner off Valencia's shin as Martial prepares to come on with Fellaini.

68: Mkhitaryan finds space 25 yards out and again doesn't hesitate, shooting wide with his second touch.

67: Swansea break and again look dangerous as Ayew runs at Valencia and squares towards Abraham, who can't quite get onto the ball.

Substitutions now for Swansea as Mesa is replaced by Narsingh and Bartley by Routledge.

65: Mata to Blind, inside to Pogba, through to Lukaku... whose touch is poor. It's not been a great day for the United summer signing, although you still feel will take it if his team-mates can conjure a chance.

64: Better from Swansea, as Jones does well to cut out a ball from Ayew to Abraham which would've put the latter in on goal. Some glimmers of promise from the hosts, who can take encouragement from some lapses in concentration at the heart of the visitors' defence.

63: Swansea deal with the corner well enough as has been the case with most of them, which makes the concession of a goal like Bailly's all the more infuriating if you're Paul Clement.

62: Corner United after Mkhitaryan's shot is deflected wide.

61: All that said, Swansea enjoy their best spell of possession and when a cross finds Abraham, he probably should do better than head over from 12 yards, albeit with the ball slightly behind him.

United went to sleep there, neither Bailly nor Jones aware which of them should be on Abraham's shoulder. Whatever the answer is, 'neither' it is not.

60: With half an hour remaining, United are 2/7 to win to nil which looks a fair reflection of the way this game is going. Swansea need something to spark their attack into life and I'm not sure I see it on the bench. Spend that money quick.

Sky Bet also have a number of Price Boosts including Bailly to be carded at 5/1, all of which can be found here.

59: A brief threat from Abraham and Ayew but, having been wide apart for most of the day, they're too close together and can't take advantage of a chance on the edge of the United box. Swansea keep possession but when the ball breaks to Fer, his shot is high and wide.

58: Ayew brings down Jones as frustrations grow among the Swansea side. Mawson then intercepts a Mata pass directed at Lukaku but this remains far too easy for United, who at some stage will find the final ball they need to double their advantage, surely.

57: De Gea collects a high, tame cross and launches United into a counter. Rashford, eager to shoot whenever he can, again ignores other options and fires at Fabianski from 20 yards. It's a regulation save for the former Arsenal man.

55: You can see why Mourinho was so desperate to bring Matic to United. His ball over the top here is too long but he continues to dictate things at the heart of midfield. If United are to launch a sustained title bid, he's going to be vital.

54: Bartley is furious at Fabianski for not receiving a shout as he heads behind under no pressure. Swansea just about clear the danger after a brief threat from Pogba but so far, this is damage limitation, devoid of any hint that they might offer an attacking threat.

52: Mkhitaryan spots a runner but his ball isn't high enough to evade the Swansea defence. He's just starting to work his way into the game as Rashford wins a throw deep inside the Swansea half.

51: Mawson clears the corner and then does really well to do so again from a Mata cross. It's another United corner but this time Naughton can get rid of a poor ball, before Olsson heads yet another one out. Eventually, the ball spills out of play for a goal-kick, but United do look dangerous in the air.

49: Good closing down from Abraham as De Gea is forced to rush his clearance. Bartley then makes a hash of a simple header and United earn a corner which Mata will take.

48: Naughton wins a throw on halfway as he tries to work a way around Blind. Abraham then finds Fer, who switches to Olsson to cross, but it's a waste of some good work as his ball flies long and out of play.

47: Mkhitaryan and Pogba exchange passes just inside the Swansea box, but Olsson does well to dispossess the former and clear. Just two minutes into the half but swiftly back into the pattern of play.

46: August 2015. The last time United lost a Premier League game having scored first, I believe. Who did it to them? Swansea, that's who. Not that either goalscorer is still at the club.

We're back under way...

1325: The Pogba header which led to United's goal...

Pogba's attempt heads towards goal
Pogba's attempt heads towards goal

1323: Quick break here, but I'll be back for the second half. In the meantime you can email benjamin.coley@sportinglife.com.

1320: Sky Bet won't be pleased that the three lunchtime favourites across the UK are all in front, but Bailly scoring first wipes out thousands of scorecasts, first-scorer bets and whatever else, so there's that...

They now make United 1/10, with Swansea out to 40/1 and the draw 8/1. It's 11/8 that United win and there are three or more goals in the match, while Lukaku is 9/2 to score next.

Bailly, the goalscorer, is 5/1 to add a card to his day's work while it's 7/4 that there's a goal scored by the hour mark. Pogba is 9/2 to score at any time, too. As for the correct score betting, United 2-0 looks to be the call at 11/4 if you ask me.

HT: If you watch a replay of this game, narrow the first half down to the first 10 minutes and the last two. Swansea hit the bar, then United, in a lively opening, before the game settled into a pattern of United with the ball, Swansea denying them space.

But for the odd glimpse from Rashford, United appeared to be lacking in ideas until a cheap corner, a free header and a quick response saw them edge ahead. They deserve it in as much as any side who score a goal more than their opponents deserve to be in front.

What can Swansea offer in attack from here? Odds-on very little, I reckon.

45+1: That's pretty much the last action of the half.

45: GOAL! Bailly! Swansea 0-1 Man Utd

Sucker punch for Swansea as Bailly reacts best to prod home after Fabianski had done phenomenally well to keep out a header from Pogba. Questions have to be asked of Fabianski's back four there as it was a United defender who was ready.

44: Fer fouls Pogba on halfway as United dominate as we edge towards the break. Imperative that Swansea hold firm here. A ball from Pogba towards Lukaku looks to be about to drop on the Belgian's head only for Fernandez to come to the rescue.

It's then Naughton who stoops to head behind for another United corner.

43: The United corner is wasted and then a rare thing indeed: a goalkeeper comes for the ball, falls down, but a foul is not awarded. That means Mata has a great chance to score for the visitors but, off-balance and under pressure, he pulls his shot just wide.

42: Abraham tries to clip one over the top to Ayew, but Valencia, Jones and Bailly combine to win the ball back. United then win a corner as Olsson heads behind under pressure from Mata.

40: Celtic take the lead at Kilmarnock. The odds-on lunchtime treble of Celtic, Sheffield United and Manchester United is looking quite like a nice position, even with Lukaku isolated here.

39: Mesa curls one in deep and that's a huge opportunity wasted. Bartley is free at the back post - as was Fernandez behind him - but tries to nod it across goal rather than testing De Gea. It goes harmlessly long.

38: United are all the way out to 8/13 here which begins to look fairly tempting given that they still look in control. The flow of the game suggests more chances will come after the break although they could do without cheap free-kicks being given away, which is what happens as Mkhitaryan brings down Ayew.

36: Chance, the best of the game in fact, as Mawson heads the ball straight to Rashford. He's through, the United man, but chips the ball into Fabianski's arms when a low pass into either corner was surely the play.

33: Swansea just cannot keep the ball, with Abraham particularly isolated. Rashford spins on the edge of the Swansea box and wants a free-kick when Mesa challenges, but the referee says no.

The home side break and earn a corner as Abraham almost gets on the end of Ayew's cross.

31: All serene here, but at Bramall Lane, Leon Clarke throttles Angus MacDonald, who responds by trying to headbutt the Blades' striker, and both are sent off.

30: United just up the tempo a little and it earns them space, but Rashford decides to shoot rather than run at the opposition and his tame effort is easily saved. United come again, again through Rashford, but Pogba then goes in late on Naughton and might be lucky not to be booked for a second time here.

#Oneofthose, had he not been booked for the first, he'd have been booked for the second, even if this was a genuine attempt to play the ball. Thin ice.

28: It's a poor delivery which is cleared by Matic, before Fernandez skews a cross behind for a goal-kick. After an electric start, the last 15 minutes have been pretty dire it must be said.

27: Pogba has been quiet and is rightly booked for a swing of the leg which brings Carroll to the ground. Stupid challenge from a player whose mind does let him down from time to time.

25: Lovely touches from Mata and Mkhitaryan on the edge of the Swansea box but, for now at least, the Swansea back-line is able to deal with the threat as Rashford gets told to stop moaning, I gather.

23: Olsson involved again, this time via an absurdly ambitious overhead kick which De Gea collects.

On the nose, son: Martin Olsson gets acquainted with the ball
On the nose, son: Martin Olsson gets acquainted with the ball

22: Olsson wins a throw-in midway inside the United half but it's wasted as Ayew's heavy touch sees United take control of the ball. Swansea really need to sharpen up when they do have it.

As United break, Bartley does really well to get there in front of Rashford, who for a minute looked like he was set to run through on goal. The United man felt he was pulled down but it looked a strong, decisive piece of work by the Swansea defender.

21: Swansea do at least appear to know what they're doing without the ball. The trouble is, they can be as well-drilled as they like but 90 minutes of this and they're vulnerable to moments of brilliance, which is what happened at Brighton last week where Man City eventually opened them up.

Feels like United need only be patient and disciplined and their chances will come.

20: Rare, this, but after 20 minutes of no goals and no red cards, United have been cut to 1/3 from 4/11 to win, such is their superiority right now. It's 4/1 that both teams score in a win for United, while Mawson is 7/1 to be carded and Abraham 5/1 to score.

Click here for the latest odds.

18: Ayew is fouled midway inside his own half but Abraham's attempt to turn a ball around the corner to his strike partner is misplaced.

17: Mesa has been quiet, understandably so, on his Premier League debut and balls like the one he just received won't help. United intercept and come again, albeit patiently, as they look for an opening.

15: Lukaku can't quite get on the end of a Blind cross as the United full-backs join the attack. Pogba then seeks out his pal with a diagonal ball but Fabianski is live to the threat and rushes out to collect.

14: Ayew has been the bright spark for the home side, hitting the bar in the early minutes with an inventive outside-of-the-boot effort.

Jordan Ayew shoots for goal
Jordan Ayew shoots for goal

13: Patient from United as Matic orchestrates their latest attack from the heart of midfield. Left, right, left again they probe away at the home side, who are really struggling to keep the ball now in midfield.

12: Lukaku's through-ball towards Rashford is cut out by Bartley after what was a slick passing move from the visitors. United come again as Rashford dances his way down the left, only to lose control of the ball for a Swansea goal-kick.

11: Respite for Swansea as Bailly concedes a free-kick on halfway. Elsewhere, Billy Sharp has put Sheffield United in front against Barnsley. Don't act surprised.

10: OFF THE BAR! Mata's ball in his delicious and Jones really should do better than crash his header into the bar from close range. Huge chance for United, who are beginning to assert now.

9: Mawson is then drawn into a foul on Rashford. Clumsy, that, and United will have the chance to deliver a dangerous ball from just outside the box to the right.

7: Rashford spins and shoots from 20 yards. It's dragged wide but that's a warning to Swansea, not to let him find that gap between midfield and defence.

6: Mata turns and looks to find Rashford but his pass is much too strong and goes out for a goal kick to Swansea. Lively start, this.

5: Clement charmingly taking notes before popping his black book back inside the inner-left jacket pocket. That's inner left, for fans of Mission Impossible II.

4: United break quickly through Lukaku and when his attempted square ball falls back at his own feet, the Belgian fires wide from just inside the box.

3: Brilliant from Swansea as they hound United out in midfield, before Ayew bursts down the left and clips a ball across goal which almost looks like it might drop in. In fact, it might just have kissed the bar on its way through.

2: Jones does well as Fer looks to find Abraham over the top. Strong start by the home side and United yet to string passes together.

1: We are under way and Bailly clears as Swansea look to attack down the channels. He was very impressive last week, I thought.

1228: Here they come then. A reminder, United are unchanged from the side which beat West Ham 4-0 last Sunday in what turned into a real exhibition after a slightly cautious start.

Swansea make one change, bringing in summer signing Mesa to replace Britton, who is injured.

1223: Under 10 minutes to go now until the first game of the weekend and there's a lot to live up to. The first set of fixtures produced 31 goals, i.e. 3.1 per game, and that's with eight teams failing to score. Bonkers.

If you think this one will live up to the goals galore, defending is a bore billing, it's 4/5 that there are three or more goals and 4/1 that United score four or more.

I've still not had a bet. I don't like betting in games where I think one side will win but are appallingly short. Some would say back the others, but there's little to be gained in throwing money at every single value price. Has to be a combination of value + fancy, surely.

For instance: Southampton to beat West Ham later. Now there's one we can get stuck into.

1210: Before we focus fully on Swansea v United, a word also on the Super 6. In case you weren't aware, there's a £1million jackpot to be won in this free-to-play game. Five of today's matches are in the Premier League, plus Fulham v Sheffield Wednesday in the Sky Bet Championship.

Clearly, to nail six correct scores you're going to need all the help you can get. And that's why we've put together this statistical package.

1205: As you might have gathered, I'm a little stumped when it comes to this game and might sit it out. However, Sky Bet have made the 3pm decision a little easier with the latest Soccer Saturday Price Boost, which sees the Liverpool, Leicester and Burnley treble enhanced to 7/1.

Obviously, you have to forgive Liverpool's abject defensive display last weekend. And you have to rely on Burnley producing the home form they showed last season, given that today's opponents West Brom looked pretty lively against Bournemouth last Saturday. Then there's Leicester, who conceded four even if they did give Arsenal a scare.

At least at 7s those negatives can be swallowed and all three are worthy favourites in my eyes. I think Brighton will struggle on the road, West Brom may also find themselves in that sort of situation, and Palace were rubbish and are there for the taking if the Reds show up.

1155: If David John isn't for you - and let's face it, he isn't for everyone - then perhaps Paul Merson is.

Merse, like DJ, has looked at every game this weekend except while DJ's weapon is the keyboard, Merson's is the camera.

Watch him shooting the breeze with Jeff below...

Paul Merson's Weekend Preview

1152: What about United to win by a goal, then? Swansea do well in the fixture but struggled to create last weekend and a one-goal Mourinho victory away from home is the stuff many a title challenge was mounted on. It's a 5/2 chance.

However, David John, whose opinion on such matters should always be sought, thinks this could be another convincing win for United. He goes with a scoreline verdict of 3-0 and puts up Juan Mata to score (15/8 with Sky Bet) as his best bet.

DJ writes: "Swansea are a work in progress as they try to figure out how best to utilise and support new striker Tammy Abraham while Fernando Llorente remains in the treatment room and there is a very real danger they will be dominated from the off here.

"There should be more chances for Lukaku and Rashford but it was little Juan Mata who significantly caught my eye with some excellent work against the Hammers.

"I would not be surprised in the slightest to see him pop up undetected once more in the opposition box and the Spaniard is a high-quality finisher when a chance presents itself."

1150: Enough idle transfer chatter, anyway, and to the more pressing issue of what to back here. Opta are, as ever, on hand to paint quite an encouraging picture for the home fans despite the first fact on this list...

  • The Swans have never kept a clean sheet against Manchester United in the Premier League in 12 contests. The last Swans goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet versus the Red Devils was Dai Davies in December 1982.
  • Manchester United have won two of their last three Premier League meetings with Swansea (D1), this after losing the previous three all by a 2-1 scoreline.
  • Swansea attempted just four shots in their opening matchday game away at Southampton, without any of them finding the target - both league-lows on MD1.
  • The Swans are now unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches (W4 D2 L0) – this is their longest unbeaten run in the competition since a run of seven games between December 2012 and January 2013.
  • The Welsh club have lost only one of their last eight Premier League home matches (W6 D1 L1) and in their only defeat in this run, they were leading until the 88th minute (1-3 vs Tottenham).
  • Manchester United have only won two points (W0 D2 L2) and scored one goal in their last four Premier League matches away from Old Trafford.
  • Manchester United have kept more clean sheets in 2017 than any other Premier League team (12).
  • Last weekend, Romelu Lukaku became the fourth Man Utd player to score a brace on his Premier League debut (also Van Nistelrooy, Wilson, Rashford). Indeed, the Belgian striker is also looking to become the fifth player to net in his first two PL apps for Man Utd (also Ibrahimovic, Martial, Macheda, Saha).
  • Anthony Martial came off the bench to great effect on MD1 becoming the first Man Utd player to score and assist a Premier league goal as a substitute since Nani versus Liverpool in March 2008.
  • Gylfi Sigurdsson has been directly involved in six goals in his last six Premier League games against Manchester United (three goals, three assists) but looks likely to miss this game for the Swans.

1148: In contrast to what's happening at Swansea, Mourinho seems happy enough with his lot. In fact, the Portuguese exuded contentedness (a word I despise... is it even a word?) last weekend. Wonder how long it'll last.

Since then he's added: "I don't think we are unless something happened that puts us in the market again.

"I told Mr Woodward that obviously my plans were four, but I also told be cool, no pressure from me, do what you think is the best for the club.

"We will be together again for another transfer window in January and another one in the next summer, so there is no pressure from me at all and I am happy with the squad we have.

"I am ready to go without the fourth player, so if we are out of the market I am fine. I'm ready."

As you'd expect, United are quoted in virtually every market for every player, but Sky Bet have them odds-on to sign just one: Zlatan. It's gone quiet, talk of a new deal for the Swede, but the betting says it's going to happen.

1145: Looking on the bright side, if Swansea were to bring in all three of those reported targets, might things look quite good? They've got a very well-regarded manager, a very well-run club and Bony combining with the likes of Abraham and Chadli would be glorious.

Here's the big summer-signing speaking to SwansTV...

Swans TV - Abraham's first interview

1142: The big problem Swansea have right now is, of course, how to replace Gylfi Sigurdsson. At least they have something in the region of £45million to go to war with and boss Paul Clement says he's spoken to those on high about what to do with it.

"I spoke to the owners (Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien) last night and what we will do moving forward," he said earlier this week.

"We have received a good transfer fee and funds are available to strengthen the squad.

"It is a big challenge replacing Gylfi, but I hope we can potentially bring in two or three players to strengthen us in various positions.

"I am not going to talk about players at other clubs, but there are discussions behind the scenes with the owners, the chairman and our recruitment team who we can potentially bring in before the window is over.

"We have multiple targets because things do not always come off, you have to move to other players in that situation.

"We have to move swiftly, but we will not panic. Sometimes the deals can be better in the last days of the window."

While Clement won't talk about other players, there's nothing to stop us and if the odds are correct, first through the door might be Nacer Chadli. He's 4/9 to sign from West Brom and there are no other sides shorter than 25s - it's Swansea or stay put.

Sam Clucas is another who is odds-on to move to south Wales at 4/7 while a return 'home' for Wilfried Bony is 1/4 and makes a world of sense, doesn't it?

1136: And so we move to the betting, with Sky Bet making United 4/11, the draw 4/1 and Swansea 17/2.

It's not that I'm especially keen on backing Swansea, or indeed the draw, but United look short, don't they? Yes, they were very good against West Ham, but 4/11 away at a solid outfit like Swansea - even without Gylfi - just strikes me as a little silly. You need United to be winning this four in five to make that work and the bare facts are they've won just two of their last six against the Welsh outfit.

As ever, Sky Bet have a number of Price Boosts and the pick of them might be 16s Tammy Abraham to score first. He looked pretty lively last week and looks a bright addition to the Premier League. Again, not a case of being particularly keen, but the price does look plenty generous.

Other Price Boosts include Lukaku to score a header at 13/2, Pogba to score from outside the box at 15/2, and United to win 2-1 at 9/1.

1134: United do make a change on the bench where Lindelof makes his first appearance in the squad, while Swansea bring Mesa into their first XI in place of the injured Leon Britton. That's about that when it comes to changes from last weekend.

1131: And here's Swansea...

Fabianski, Mawson, Olsson, Naughton, Bartley, Fernandez, Carroll, Fer, Mesa, Ayew, Abraham

1130: United team. Familiar if you watched them last Sunday...

De Gea, Valencia, Bailly, Jones, Blind, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Lukaku

1125: Team news will be through shortly. Can't imagine Jose Mourinho will change much following his side's brilliant start to the season against West Ham last Sunday, while Swansea were solid as they battled to a 0-0 draw at Southampton, albeit I'm not sure United will be so generous in front of goal.

As ever, if you want to get involved - especially if that means steering me towards a winner - it's @benjamin.coley@sportinglife.com.

1115: Morning and welcome to live coverage of Swansea v Manchester United as the second weekend of Premier League football begins.

Get comfy because after this we'll move on to the 3pm kick-offs before Stoke v Arsenal concludes the day's action.

Above are some handy links but if you stick around I've got some Opta stats up my sleeve, previews, betting, team news, manager quotes... pretty much everything you could possibly need to be honest.
