Frank Lampard backed to be next Premier League manager to leave after Chelsea's draw with West Brom

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been backed in the next Premier League manager to leave market following more dropped points at the weekend.

The Blues' only league win of the campaign came on opening weekend as they beat Brighton 3-1 but since then they have seen a 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool before a 3-3 draw away at newly-promoted West Brom last time out.

It could have been much worse for Chelsea at the Hawthorns but second-half goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham rescued a point having been 3-0 down at the break.

Due to that result, Lampard is now into 10/1 to be the next manager to go, with some bookmakers having prices as big as 33/1 available last week.

Speaking after that draw at the Hawthorns, the Chelsea boss pointed to individual errors which ultimately cost them the three points.

"I’ve got mixed emotions," he said. "I’m happy to see us fight to the last minute but I have to go back to the beginning and we conceded three goals from three shots on target.

"It was mistakes, clear mistakes that cost us. You can have as many meetings as you want but with those mistakes, you give yourself a mountain to climb. We lacked a bit if urgency in the team.

"We were punished. We showed great character but at the same time it’s not a position you want to be in. They had three shots on target and we conceded three goals."

Despite West Ham's convincing 4-0 victory over Wolves on Sunday, David Moyes, who managed the game from home, remains the 5/2 favourite in the market. Fulham boss Scott Parker follows at odds of 5/1.

The only other manager with a shorter price than Lampard is former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. His Tottenham side were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle following a controversial penalty call in the final moments of the game.

Lampard is not fancied to remain at Stamford Bridge in the long-term, with 15/8 available on him not to be Chelsea manager for last Premier League game of the 2020/21 campaign.

With Manchester United, Tottenham, Leeds, Everton and Wolves all to come before mid-December, Sky Bet make it 6/1 that Lampard isn't Chelsea manager on Christmas Day.
