With Huddersfield's relegation from the Premier League confirmed, Tom Carnduff looks at their best moments in the top-flight.
The Terriers have been sentenced back to life in the Sky Bet Championship following two seasons among England's elite.
While this season has been one of large disappointment, the 2017/18 campaign was full of joy for the huge underdogs - who many backed to go straight back down.
David Wagner transformed Huddersfield from Championship relegation candidates to promotion winners in under two seasons. Town fans weren't expecting promotion, and yet, against the odds, they managed to do just that.
While Wagner left in January and Jan Siewert was brought in, their former manager was instrumental in getting to their current position and he has forever established himself in the history of the West Yorkshire club.
With Huddersfield now dropping down a division, we look at seven of their best moments.
Crystal Palace 0-3 Huddersfield
August 12 2017
The Terriers kicked off their Premier League campaign in the best possible fashion with a convincing 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on opening day of the 2017/18 season.
Joel Ward's own goal just before the 25-minute mark, followed by Steve Mounie's effort minutes later, rushed Wagner's side into a 2-0 lead early on - the dream start to life back in the top-flight.
Mounie would then grab another to score a brace on his debut for the West Yorkshire club - that also helping them to secure all three points on offer at Selhurst Park.
The striker's performance earned praise from Wagner after the game as he said "Steve Mounie missed a big chance, we spoke about this rather than the two goals. He played well, coming into the Premier League with two goals, there is no better day for him."
Huddersfield 2-1 Manchester United
October 21 2017
The fearless Terriers were still on cloud nine following promotion and a wonderful atmosphere awaited Town as they welcomed Manchester United to the John Smith's Stadium.
They made a start beyond their wildest dreams. Aaron Mooy struck the back of the net before Laurent Depoitre would double the lead just five minutes later.
Huddersfield held a 2-0 advantage at the break and United were stunned. Marcus Rashford managed to grab a goal as the game entered the last ten minutes, but the hosts managed to hold on and a crowd of over 24,000 people witnessed one of Town's finest results.
Jose Mourinho conceded after the game that "the best team won. It's simple. I have to give them credit. They had a different attitude, motivation and desire than we had.
"Everyone at the stadium could feel in the first couple of minutes that one team was ready to give everything and the other was not ready for it. Maybe only my players realised at half-time."
Huddersfield 1-2 Manchester City
November 26 2017
This was a defeat for Huddersfield, but another positive performance as they nearly snatched a result against what would turn out to be a record breaking Manchester City side.
Here we saw a different Town side to one from previous months. They wanted to make themselves hard to beat and frustrated a City side who enjoyed a huge 80% possession.
Just before the break, Nicolas Otamendi turned the ball into his own net and Huddersfield had the lead. However, Sergio Aguero scored from the spot early into the second-half and Raheem Sterling had a huge slice of luck to score the winner.
The result was a tough one to take, but Gary Lineker said after the match that it was a "Cracking game of football. Huddersfield have been a very welcome addition to the Premier League, and Manchester City are a joy to watch."
Watford 1-4 Huddersfield
December 16 2017
Huddersfield snapped a seven-game run of failing to score away from home when they went to Vicarage Road - and they did it in some style.
Elias Kachunga struck early to put Town ahead, with Mooy's goal giving them a 2-0 lead at the break. Depoitre would then score five minutes into the second, before Abdoulaye Doucoure gave Watford hope with 20 minutes of regular time remaining.
However, Huddersfield kept the Hornets quiet before a late Mooy penalty secured a convincing win for the visitors.
It also signalled a positive first-half of the season following promotion. Wagner said after the game "you need 12 wins I believe to stay up and we have six. We played well, scored some wonderful goals and had other opportunities - the players performed to their best."
Huddersfield 4-1 Bournemouth
February 11 2018
The Terriers had lost all five of their games in 2018 and we're sliding down the table. However, they would run riot when Bournemouth visited the John Smith's Stadium.
Alex Pritchard put Town ahead inside the opening ten minutes before Junior Stanislas hit back for the visitors shortly after. Mounie fired Wagner's men back ahead just before the half an hour mark and they held a narrow lead at half-time.
Lewis Cook would net an own goal and Rajiv Van La Parra scored a penalty in the last minute to ensure they won the points in impressive fashion.
After the win, Wagner commented "we said before the game that this is massive for us and that after losing at Old Trafford we had the difficult fixtures behind us.
"It was one of the performances of the season."
Manchester City 0-0 Huddersfield
May 6 2018
Manchester City lifted the Premier League title, but it was an unlikely point for the visiting Terriers that grabbed the headlines.
Pep Guardiola's men had 93 points heading into this one and were demolishing all that stood in their way. However, they couldn't find a way through a resilient Huddersfield side.
Remarkably, Huddersfield actually posted more shots on target in the game - but it was clear from the 79% possession and 15 shots in total that City were the dominant side.
It moved Huddersfield three points clear of relegation with just two games to go. Wagner spoke of the performance by saying "in football sometimes the impossible is possible. For sure before the game a clean sheet and getting a point looked impossible, but the players have done it and done it again.
"It makes this even bigger that a club of our size and circumstances, who are with no disrespect more like a League One club more than a Premier League club, can stick together and believe. That makes us special as a football club."
Chelsea 1-1 Huddersfield
May 9 2018
It was another draw, but this was the vital point that kept Huddersfield in the Premier League.
They failed to post a shot on target in the first-half of their clash at Stamford Bridge - but Depoitre was in the right place to score early into the second-half to give them an unlikely lead against the Champions League hopefuls.
Marcos Alonso scored shortly after, but a point was enough for the pre-season relegation favourites to ensure a second campaign in the Premier League.
"We have cancelled the flight and will go home by coach," a delighted Wagner said afterwards, with the Huddersfield players hitting the town to celebrate their survival.
