Chelsea have completed the signing of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig and Frank Lampard's side are not messing around in the summer transfer window.

Back in February, they also confirmed that Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech would be joining from Ajax at the end of the campaign, reportedly worth an initial £33.4m.

He has been attracting interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs after impressing in a talented Ajax side which reached the Champions League semi-finals last year. In 2019/20, he scored eight and assisted a further 21 in 35 games in all competitions.

And it now the Londoners have activated Werner's release clause and secured his services for £47.5m.

Werner caught the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs after consistent performances for Bundesliga outfit Leipzig, including 32 goals and 13 assists in 43 appearances (all competitions) this season.

The two attackers' arrival will bolster Chelsea's attack with Pedro and Willian due to leave when their contracts expire at the end of the campaign.

They will join Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud and Callum Hudson-Odoi in competing for a place in Lampard's starting XI, which has been predominantly 4-3-3 this season.

Lampard is also said to be keen to strengthen his back line and Chelsea are able to spend after their recent transfer ban. He is reportedly keen to sign a left-footed centre-back to partner Antonio Rudiger, as well as left-back.

Leicester's Ben Chilwell has been strongly linked in recent months, with reports on Friday claiming the England international is 'tempted' by a Stamford Bridge switch, as the Blues step up their interest.

He will not come cheap, but the 24-year-old will be an improvement on Marcos Alonso and Emerson, who have failed to make the position their own under Lampard.

And in midfield, with N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Ross Barkley, most recently Billy Gilmour, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek able to return from injury like a new signing, it is fair to say he is well stocked.

Based on Ziyech, Werner and Chilwell's (possible) arrival, here is how Chelsea could line up next season...
