Pep Guardiola claimed the 27th trophy of his elite managerial career as Manchester City completed an historic domestic treble - but that didn't stop him giving Raheem Sterling a lecture.
A week on from retaining their Premier League title, Sterling scored twice as City thrashed Watford by a record-equalling scoreline of 6-0 in an FA Cup final to become the first English side to win all three major trophies in one season.
Having also won the Premier League and Carabao Cup last season, as well as the Community Shield last August, the Spaniard has now picked up seven pieces of silverware in three seasons in England.
However, despite this latest achievement, his relentless pursuit of excellence was further emphasised during the post-match celebrations at Wembley when giving Sterling a tactical lecture.
The 48-year-old former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss arrived at the Etihad Stadium with a big reputation and, after an uncharacteristic trophyless first season, is now living up to his billing in some style.
The main challenge next season will surely be to deliver success in the Champions League, a competition he won twice during his years in charge of Barcelona from 2008 to 2012.
While at the Nou Camp he also won LaLiga three times, the Copa del Rey twice, the Spanish Super Cup three times, the UEFA Super Cup on two occasions and the FIFA Club World Cup twice.
Success followed him to Bayern, who he guided to three Bundesliga crowns, two German Cups, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.
