Four 2020/21 Sky Sports Fantasy Football players to consider from the promoted teams

The 2020/21 Premier League campaign gets underway in September and so too does the latest season of Sky Sports Fantasy Football.

The game will have the likes of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech following their moves to Chelsea while all eyes will be on Jadon Sancho as the rumours about his potential move to Manchester United continue.

As exclusively revealed in our Sky Sports Fantasy Football podcast on Friday, Sancho would come into the game at a price of £10.4million if he does make a Premier League switch during this transfer window.

He's a player who will take a considerable section of your budget next season, so what about those who will be coming up from the Sky Bet Championship?

Fulham bounced back at the first time of asking as they won the play-offs while West Brom secured second and Leeds won the title with a ten-point margin - that ended their 16-year wait for top-flight football again.

Here, Tom Carnduff picks out four players from the newly-promoted teams who should bring in the points at a good price next season.

Stuart Dallas

It's rumoured that Leeds may be looking to bring in another left-back next season but Stuart Dallas has been an excellent part of a Leeds defence who conceded the fewest goals all season (35 from 46 games).

Of course, it's unlikely that it will be the case in the Premier League but Dallas is a player that Marcelo Bielsa is clearly a big fan of. He's often been at the left-side of defence, but he can be utilised on either flank or in central midfield if required.

Dallas should be a listed as a defender next season and if so he will come with a fairly cheap price tag too. Alongside the defensive side of his game, the five goals and three assists highlight the attacking threat.

George Baldock and Enda Stevens were great cheaper options in defence this season because of how far forward they played in the Sheffield United system. We should expect similar in terms of position for Dallas and Luke Ayling in 2020/21.

In terms of the stats, Dallas averaged 1.7 total shots per game which is excellent considering his position. Alongside that, there were also 2.2 successful tackles per game. He could be a player who hits bonus tier one points for tackling next season.

Kalvin Phillips

Defensive midfielders are always tough ones to include in Fantasy Football teams but Kalvin Phillips has all the potential to be a player who regularly hits bonus tier passing and tackling points.

Phillips has been a key part of this Bielsa team and his form in the Championship led to Gareth Southgate going to Elland Road to assess his performance. A good season in the Premier League could well see him included in England's Euro 2021 squad - he is that good.

He may have only scored two goals and assisted a further two last season but his real strengths are elsewhere and the bonus tier points is where we're targeting with Phillips.

The midfielder averaged 2.6 successful tackles per 90 minutes while his average passes per game stood at 54.9. They may be just below the threshold needed, but he hit tier one level (three or more) tackles on seven occasions last season - with tier two (four or more) in eleven games.

Matheus Pereira

The star of this West Brom team - the £8.5million fee agreed between the Baggies and Sporting to make the loan move permanent can be viewed as a steal.

Matheus Pereira posted eight goals and a huge 20 assists in 42 appearances this season. His influence in attacking midfield was significant and he is going to be a player to watch with real interest in the Premier League.

We can expect plenty of points to come through assists, even half of his total would bring more than the standard two points in most weeks, but there is also potential for shots bonus as well.

All six of his final Championship appearances had at least four shots in each. His season average stands at 2.7 shots per game so this would be the bonus area to target alongside the assists with Pereira.

Aleksandar Mitrovic

Cards and discipline could be an issue here but that should be outweighed by the number of goals he will scored. The striker netted 26 as Fulham were promoted back to the Premier League.

His record in front of goal is excellent and it led to him netting the Sky Bet Championship Golden Boot award; he finished with one more than Brentford's Ollie Watkins.

The goals tally speaks for itself but the 3.7 shots per game he averages could also mean that he regularly gets bonus tier points for shots.

There is also the advantage of Mitrovic having previously Premier League experience. He netted eleven goals when Fulham went down in 2018/19 and should get more this time around on the back of the momentum gained from promotion.
