Europa League: Wolves qualify for knockouts but Rangers have to wait after Feyenoord draw

Wolves blew a two-goal lead in Braga but still made the knockout stages, but Rangers will have to wait after they were held at Feyenoord.

Wolves reached the Europa League knockout stages with a game to spare despite blowing a two-goal lead in Braga.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side suffered a second-half stumble to draw 3-3 in Portugal.

Raul Jimenez, Matt Doherty and Adama Traore had fired the visitors into a 3-1 lead after Andre Horta's early opener.

But second-half goals from Paulinho and captain Fransergio rescued Braga to also send them into the last 32.

They remain top of Group K, a point ahead of Wolves, ahead of the final matches on December 12.

Rangers made to wait

Rangers were made to wait to seal a place in the last 32 of the Europa League despite Alfredo Morelos' record-breaking double securing a 2-2 draw with Feyenoord.

The Colombian became the first Rangers player to score in four consecutive European clashes when he cancelled out Jans Toornstra's opener in Rotterdam.

Morelos then left De Kuip stunned as he struck his 13th European goal of the campaign shortly afterwards to smash Henrik Larsson's 16-year-old record for the most goals netted in a single season for a Scottish club.

Steven Gerrard's men were on the brink of securing a place in the knock-out rounds but Morelos' international colleague Luis Sinisterra grabbed an equaliser for Dick Advocaat's team.

There was further disappointment coming from Berne where Porto - who had to match Rangers' result to deny the Scots qualification with a game to spare - came from a goal down to snatch victory against Young Boys.

However, the Light Blues did move to the top of Group G and will seal qualification with a draw against the Swiss outfit at Ibrox in a fortnight's time.

Celtic confirm top spot

Celtic confirmed their place at the top of Group E with a 3-1 win over Rennes, with Lewis Morgan, Ryan Christie and Mikey Johnston on the scoresheet for the Scottish club.

Neil Lennon's side's place was confirmed with Lazio's 1-0 win over Cluj, and means Celtic will avoid playing a Champions League club in the next round.

Wolfsburg beat Olexandriya 1-0 to qualify from Group I alongside Gent, who drew 0-0 with St Etienne.

In Group J, Roma beat Istanbul Basaksehir 3-0 in Turkey, while Austrian side Wolfsberg lost 1-0 to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Espanyol reached the last 32 after both Group H games were drawn but wins for Krasnodar and Getafe prevented Basel from securing qualification from Group C.

APOEL have qualified from Group A after their 2-0 win at Dudelange and will join group winners Sevilla in the next round.

Copenhagen went top of Group B, with a win over Lugano, with Malmo narrowly edging Dynamo Kiev in a 4-3 thriller.

Sporting Lisbon have reached the next round after a comfortable win over PSV Eindhoven while LASK also progress from Group D after victory at Rosenborg.
